After watching Michigan lose to that stupid state to the South, Marty was taking his disappointment out on the poor remote control as he tried to find something to watch.

Angela was eating Chinese food with chopsticks and looking for someone she knew.

"Hey, boyfriend," she said, around a mouthful of shrimp.

"Hey," Marty said bitterly before turning on a Christmas movie with Will Ferrel. "What's going on?"

"Nadia's weird. I have shrimp with cashews," Angela said, taking a seat. "Ugh, it's the guy with the hair."

"I'm sure whatever it did to you it wasn't on purpose." Alanna said as she came in, Faithful on her shoulder.

"Stupid Ohio State beat my team," Marty grumbled. "That's just wrong on so many levels. How've you been Alanna?"

"Sure, if you say so. And aside from thoughts of "I'm going to die I'm going to die I'm going to die" and the thing with the goat? Fine. You?"

Angela waved her chopsticks at Alanna and Faithful. "Hey!"

Chad was bored. Chad was wandered when he was bored.

Chad always missed his sturdy third-floor chair when he sat in a chair in a different common room.

"Hey," he lifted his hand to the people he'd found, "what's up?"

"Ohio sucks," Marty grumbled. "And Alanna has a thing for goats apparently."

Chad was still able to get in an arched eyebrow of intrigue before Alanna's comment refuted Marty's. Maybe best not to focus on that part of the conversation. "Ohio? The state Ohio?" He thought Ohio was a state. But wasn't sure.

"I do not have a thing for goats." Alanna informed him after she heard Martin's comment.

"No?" Chad's head tilted. No, that was not a tone of disappointment in his voice, really. You can't intonate a grunt.

Having heard people talking on his way up to drop off some medicine with his brother, Dean headed back down to the second floor common room. "Hey people," he said by way of greeting. "What are we doing?"

"Not talking about goats!" Alanna was very helpful sometimes. "Or tutus." Faithful chimed in.

"Dude, I watched my Dad put a tutu on a goat yesterday, I'm quite happy to not talk about either."

Marty waved. "Hey Dean! Angela told me you guys did a wicked job with that ghost over at the Sin."

Dean shrugged but he looked pleased. "Wasn't that bright a ghost," he said modestly. "It's the ones that have some brains that are really tricky. Nasty piece of work though."

Chad gave a wave-less wave and a grunt of greeting to the guy he didn't think he knew.

"Hey," Dean said, nodding in return. "We haven't met, have we?"

"Hey Angela. Football huh?" Dean looked curious. "Who was playing?"

Z came into the common room, looking kind of dazed. "I'm not really sure what just happened," she said. "I don't even like football."

Chad lifted a hand in a wave. "Hey, Z." He had no general opinions about football either, nor did he really know what happened, so that's all he had to offer at the moment.
