Fourth Floor Common Room, Morning

Isabel had made a handwavey phone call and then hit the kitchen. Coffee was brewed, toast was toasting and there's bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns frying way on the stove.

Breakfast is served.

Seely wandered into the common room. "Morning," he grinned.

"Good morning yourself," Isabel grinned back. "There's coffee over there if you'd like some. The food should be up in about five or ten minutes. Unless you like your bacon still sort of squishy. And how would you like your eggs? I have some scrambled but if you'd prefer them another way...."

Cedric wandered down from his room, sleepy yet awake.

"Good morning," he said brightly.

"Scrambled's fine," Seely replied as he poured himself a coffee.

"Morning," Seely replied with a nod.

"Good," she nodded, as she flipped the bacon around in the pan. "I don't think I've had a real breakfast like this in months. Possibly since we went rafting in the summer. I think I live on muffins or fruit and yogurt."

"The weekend ended too quickly, didn't it?" Cedric said, taking a seat and rubbing his eyes.

"Morning Cedric!" Isabel waved cheerfully. "Did you get woken up by the smell of bacon?"

"Possibly," Cedric said. "It's a good smell, after all. Hard pressed for anyone to stay asleep with the scent floating in the air."

"It's my secret weapon," she said, nodding seriously. "It helps in my plot to surround myself with pretty in the morning."

Cedric laughed and said, "Secret weapons and evil plots. Quite the combination."

"Rabbit food." Seely shuddered theatrically. "Not that I don't appreciate the healthy stuff, but you need real food."

"Yeah," Seely agreed. "Like a blur. Good thing I've got no classes today."

"But too much of this stuff will kill you. I'd prefer not to need heart surgery when I get older," Isabel pointed out. "Although after all the donuts and baked goods around this place, I might be in trouble already."

"But this is a good plot!" Isabel grinned. "As opposed to another recent plot by someone who won't return if she knows what's good for her."

"Ah, you're lucky then," Cedric said. "I've got two but not until later. I guess that makes up for having none on Friday."

Seely grinned. "Hey, I exercise too."

"I need to get back to doing that more regularly," she said. "It's going to be too cold to run outside soon. I'll have to get back to the elliptical trainer in the mornings. What do you usually do?"

"There is that," Seely grinned.

"Push ups, sit ups, stuff I can do in my room mostly," Seely shrugged. "I used to box a little back home, but not really since coming here."

"You should get down to the gym," Isabel suggested. "There's a heavy bag, you can keep in practice somewhat. That's if you can get near it. There's usually a line of people waiting to take out their issues on it."

"This is a good plot," Cedric agreed. "I don't mind being tempted by the smell of food."

"Why do you think I haven't been boxing lately?"

"Are you staying here for the holiday?"

"And I don't mind doing the tempting." Isabel started turning off burners and filling bowls with food before setting them on the counter in front of Cedric. "And look, breakfast is served!"
