Dorm Roof, Wednesday Evening

Anders was starting to think he should just set up a tent on the roof or something, as often as he seemed to be up here these days.

Still, it was the brooding spot, and since people seemed to not be brooding up here lately he felt it was his duty to take up the slack. He had some vague, slightly irrational (okay, mostly irrational) fear that it was necessary to the structural integrity of the dorms to supply the roof with a certain amount of emo on a regular basis.

Not that he was emo, really. Just sort of . . . thoughtful. Trying not to think too much about Parker's most recent advice to him, trying not to wonder if Bridge was mad at him or something, trying not to think too much about last Thanksgiving, and trying to think about what to get people for Christmas this year.

That last one was actually the real emo-inducer. Buying presents for one person at a time was hard enough. But presents for everybody at once? How did people on the Thirteenth Colony do this every year?

[OOC: Open, yo -- I'm heading out to go see Happy Feet in an hour or so, but after I come back I'll probably be around for hours on end.]

"I'll keep that in mind," Bel said, lips curving into a smirk. "If I get in the mood."

"Oh, I'll get you in the mood, trust me," Anders drawled, leaning forward ever so slightly.

"Just how are you going to do that?" Bel questioned.

"Well," Anders said slowly, "you could always shimmer me back to my room so I can change into my leather pants, for a start."

"Who said I'd let you put them on once you take them off?" Bel drawled.

Anders raised an eyebrow, challengingly. "Thought we were going to go for a ride," he murmured.

"Ah," Bel said. "So you're just being a tease."

"Am I?" Anders might've licked his lips, just barely. "I'm fine with the change of plans, you know. I'm pretty flexible."

"That remains to be seen," Bel murmured.

He might have been crazy for doing it, but Anders ran a fingertip lightly down Bel's chest. "Anything else you want to see?"

Bel caught Anders's hand. "Like you have a choice if I do," he growled.

"Is that a yes, then?" Anders asked, making a halfhearted effort to pull his hand away.

Bel tightened his grip, not letting go. "It's a good possibility," he said.
