First floor lobby, after the pageant

The lobby was nicely decked out with garlands and lights and such, and a large table with an array of food from Cafe Fina, including pumpkin empanadas and turkey and cranberry taquitos, as well as a lot of more traditional foods from all over the world.

The apple strudel and the sashimi are looking particularly delightful.

Nadia, looking a bit tired with her brace and sling in place, a hammer tucked into the sling, was at one end of the table, munching on a pumpkin empanada.

It was finally time to do the dinner she and Pippi had been planning for weeks.

"I know what you mean. I think I've had maybe four customers since I started there."

They nod and move to pick up bottles of water to wash the taste out of their mouths. "Yea. Then we got one yesterday and all it was was peices of a cash register. We go from wet cell phones to smashed metal." Hikaru shakes his head a little before taking a drink.

Teddy snagged a piece of sashimi from one of their plates, whose exactly he wasn't sure. "The biggest job I've done so far is fix a coffee machine."

Ah coffee machine reminded them that they hadn't used their own in awhile. "I hope we can close the shop for the holidays a little... we were planning on going home for a few days."

"Really?" Teddy asked, trying not to sound sad.

They nod. "For new years! It'll be nice to eat some real food." Hikaru waved the plate of sashimi around and shrugged.

Teddy wasn't sure if he considered raw fish to be real food.

"Is everyone leaving for the holidays?"

Double shrug. "Don't know. I don't think it's a requirement or anything." Kaoru tosses his plate out, glad to be done with it.

"Huh." Teddy nibbled on a pumpkin empanada. "We should have a party at the story! You know, before everyone starts to go home," He suggested.

They grinned. "It'll be a small party, but we're in."

Teddy shrugged. "Still be fun. We could even try to convince Agatha to let us put up more lights."

"Yea! More lights!" They gleed like kids. Hey, lights are cool.

Teddy grinned. "If not, we can always keep putting them up when we work."

"Slowly but surely, we can cover every open surface." Hikaru snickered a bit at the image. They could wear sunglasses to work.

"As long as you supply me with sunglasses, okay."

"What do you prefer? The colorful ones, or the white ones? Or what about the blinky ones?! Seizures would be a risk with those."

Teddy grinned. "Green ones!"

"We found some chilly pepper ones at the store once. We could mix the two."
