First floor lobby, after the pageant

The lobby was nicely decked out with garlands and lights and such, and a large table with an array of food from Cafe Fina, including pumpkin empanadas and turkey and cranberry taquitos, as well as a lot of more traditional foods from all over the world.

The apple strudel and the sashimi are looking particularly delightful.

Nadia, looking a bit tired with her brace and sling in place, a hammer tucked into the sling, was at one end of the table, munching on a pumpkin empanada.

It was finally time to do the dinner she and Pippi had been planning for weeks.

"Did not, Alfred totally wouldn't let that happen."

"Would he tape them up with duct tape so they stayed contained?" Parker picked up a plate and started loading it with empanadas, remembering how good they were. "How's your arm?"

Nadia shrugged her good shoulder. "Healing. Not as quickly as I'd like. Sorry I got it reinjured, I was supposed to be okay to play guitar by now."

"Don't worry about it from my side. That's between you and Zero, but she's got to know that no one ~~expects the Spanish Inquisition!~~ can predict troll activity. I'm just glad you're mostly okay." Parker took a bite of food. "There might be another record exec in West Virginia tomorrow. Fingers crossed he actually shows up."

"I can do that with the injured arm. Multitasking!"

"Awesome." A taquito got sneakily grabbed and put on a plate. "And Jack and his cohort go with us tomorrow-- it's the Dave Van trip. Should be fun. I'll be in my Porsche."

"Right, and if there's a bar fight this time? We're STAYING OUT OF IT."

"Oh hell yes. We are hiding, we are crawling out, we are letting the locals work out their issues. And you have my permission to club any band member who looks antsy."

Nadia saluted. "I'll stash my mallet in my sling."

"Perfect. Oh, and I loved the dancing." Parker grinned wickedly. "I took pictures."

"Willow might hate you for that. . . ."

Parker chortled. "I was just sorry I couldn't record her recitation of Oedipus via Hallmark. That was classic."

"I tried to see if there was one of those giant hooks backstage, but I didn't find any."

"And there so should have been. At multiple points. Though finding a person to wield it might've been more difficult in some cases than in others."
