Rory got to the common room nice and early right after Lit, and started blowing up balloons and hanging streamers.

By the time everyone would be out of class, she had the cake and snacks and drinks out as well, and there was a table to the side for presents.

Happy birthday, Bridge.

What, like Anders would miss out on his best friend's belated birthday party? Not a chance.

He had a big (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/tools/871c/), huge (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/8db9/), teetering (http://shop1.outpost.com/product/4962501?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG) pile of presents wrapped up in various shades of shiny green, and a gargantuan tray of cupcakes.

There was also a card saying, Got one more for you, but it's half from me and half from Conner, and it's too big to fit in here.

River left a present wrapped in a tea towel tied with string. It contained a framed handdrawn map of Fandom Island, signed River Tam.

Z dropped off two small boxes. The first box contained this and the second held an SPD badge with a note that read, Because you need one that doesn't disappear when I screw up.

"I'm not sure a surprise party for a psychic is going to work out so well," Z pointed out.

Setsuna had somehow managed to find a card with an ermine on it. She couldn't remember what sort of rodent he was when she first met Bridge over the summer, but all she could think of were ermines. Damn Chamo-kun.

She'd included a simple gift of fifteen dollars.

Setsuna was mostly there because, when the announcement for this came out, she realized she really hadn't associated with Bridge much lately. Or at all. So it seemed like a nice gesture to come.

Conner's first gift was just a bright red card with a gold stylized dinosaur footprint on the cover, and a note inside saying Come outside when you get a chance for the big one from me and Pyramid boy. The second gift contained a poster-size framed photo of himself, Kira, Ethan, Trent, Tommy, and Hayley back in the old Command Center in Reefside, signed by all of them. The card attached to the framed poster read:

I figure you have all the mechanical toys you can get, dude. But here's a special sort of souvenir.

Billy felt a bit like a party crasher. He really hadn't had much to do with Bridge.

Bridge wanders in to the common room with the intent of hanging out and maybe watching some TV.

When he steps inside, though, he blinks, a little confused.

Apparently it *is* possible to surprise a psychic.

On her way out to meet Bel, Isabel dropped off a large gift bag (http://www.thisplaceisazoo.com/uploaded/D322-C_LG.jpg). The card read, If I could have this would have been real. But this is Fandom. You never know what you're going to wake up to one morning. Happy Birthday! Isabel

"Surprise!" Z shouted.

"And we thought we could surprise him?"

"That would be cool of you," Z said. "Bridge is nice like that, too."

"What?" Bridge blinks again.

Marie left a small box (http://www.onlygloves.com/motorcycle-gloves/for-men/products.cfm?action=view&key=FMC010) with a card that read:

Marie was around, sipping a soda. It was her first big outing since coming back to Fandom and she was a little antsy about being around so many people.
