The Lobby, after classes

After he was done with classes for the day, Bel headed down to the lobby to meet up with Phoebe, Isabel, and Cameron.

To say he was nervous was an understatement. He kept reaching for the athame tucked in the back of his pants, under his jacket, reassuring himself with its presence. He may not have had his powers, but good demon steel would still do some damage in his hands.

It was like an exam on its own really. Cameron made his way to the lobby, wearing a black t-shirt, black leather pants and the black leather jacket Sam had given him for his birthday. He'd handwaviley retrieved the athame Bel had given him from the weapon's locker and tucked it safely away.

"Yo."

"Hey," Bel greeted Cam. "All set?"

"As ready as I'll ever be," he grinned. "My grandma always said I'd end up going to hell."

Bel managed a grin as well. "Hopefully this'll be your one and only trip."

"Hopefully," Cameron agreed. "Any last minute advice? I've been practicing my growling at my books. I think they were trying to bury me or something."

"Growling works," Bel said. "It's all in the attitude. Demons don't show weakness. Gets you killed pretty fast."

"Sounds very heart warming," Cameron grimaced. "Sorry."

Before heading to Bridge's party, Anders came wandering through the lobby on his way for a smoke.

Seeing Bel there, he crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow.

"Let me guess. Something came up again."

"I don't recall making plans," Bel said dryly.

"Obviously you have some," Anders replied. "Must be exciting, considering you're all jumpy."

"Going to the Underworld," Bel admitted. "Gotta get something."

"Sounds fun," Anders said, the irony evident in his tone. "Anything I can do?"

"Yeah, there is," Bel said. "You can watch something for me."

Anders couldn't help grinning. Somebody thought he was useful. Bonus that it happened to be Bel.

"Sure thing, man. I'm good for that. Whatcha got?"

Isabel hoped the tight, black leather pants and low cut top were trashy enough, because she was not about to go traipsing through the underworld in a short skirt and heels. For the moment though, she's wearing her long winter coat to cover up.

After stopping by Bridge's party to drop off a present, she headed toward the lobby. "Hey."

"Yo," Cameron greeted. "That's not trashy."

"I haven't taken my coat off yet," Isabel pointed out. "There's a little too much skin exposed to go out without it. I wouldn't want to get hypothermia."

"Ah," he nodded. "At least we're going somewhere warm."

"In leather no less," she said, rolling her eyes. "From one extreme to the other."

"It keeps things interesting?" he tried.

"Hey," Bel said. "You ready to go?"

"Yup. The sooner we go, the sooner we get back," Isabel nodded. And the less chance there was for Greg to freak out if he ever got her message and she wasn't back.

"In and out," Bel said. "We're not going to linger, that's for sure."

"Good, cause I don't think they're going to appreciate us being there," she said.

Bel chuckled. "Oh, hell no," he said. "Bring a mortal to the Underworld who isn't meant for a sacrifice and you get in a hell of a lot of trouble."
