The Roof; Wednesday Night.

At least tonight Setsuna understood that her insomnia was justified. She was nervous about various exams, which struck her as odd, because she was never concerned with academics, but, most importantly, she was disheartened because, tomorrow, she would ship Yuunagi off to Japan so they could meet each other soon after she arrived there for the holidays. She hadn't been training as much this week, really, but just thinking of the two of them seperated like this made her quite sad.

Bundling up and getting sick of her room from all the time she'd spent in there studying, Setsuna went up to the roof for a breath of fresh air. If it weren't so chilly, she might have pulled out her wings, but, for now, she just enjoyed the view.

Jude rolled his eyes. "Bra, don't be ridiculous. Do you have any idea how much awesome-boyfriend-gushing Caitlin does? Totally used to it by now."

"Yeah, but did you and Caitlin go out for over half a year?"

"Okay, no," Jude ceded the point.

"...So if I ever do go awesome-boyfriend-gushing again," because, for her, that totally was shameless gushing, "don't hesitate to ask me to stop. Just like you were my first boyfriend, Jude, you're also my first ex-boyfriend, and I have no idea what is acceptable and what isn't, so I might need some guidance if I start crossing over into the unacceptable."

"I'm not gonna be much help there," Jude chuckled. "'Cause I'm like way too laidback to get upset over most stuff like that."

"I'll count that as a definate benefit in my favour then," Setsuna said, with a small smile. She looked over at him again. "You know what, Jude?"

"I'm really glad that we can still do this. Talk like this and be friends..."

Jude ducked his head, smiling softly. "Yeah. Yeah, so am I."

"I, umm..." Setsuna bit her lip for a momemt. "I kind of want to give you a hug right now. Is that...is that okay?"

Jude held out his arm. "I am always up for hugs."

Setsuna scooted over a bit and gave him a light hug. "I still love you, you know," she said quietly, "even if the nature of it has changed a little."

Jude squeezed her tight for a second. "I love you, too, 'Suna," he said, leaning his head against hers.

Setsuna closed her eyes with a sigh, rather enjoying the moment, and chuckled as she slowly pulled herself away, face a little pink with a blush. "Okay, now we've really have something that Ranma can threaten you about."

Jude chuckled. "Chad'll protect me. Or you."

Setsuna grinned at him a little. "Definately."

She let out a small sigh, looked up at the sky for a moment. "Well, I think I might get myself to bed finally. You want help downstairs or anything? Or do you think you'll stay out here for a bit longer?"

"If you're going down, I might as well go down with you," Jude replied, reaching for his crutches. "Just in case, y'know?"

Setsuna nodded, offered out a hand and an arm for him to use if he needed it.

Jude smiled and shook his head slightly, getting up on his feet with no problem. "Lotsa practice, remember?"

"I know," Setsuna smiled. "But it's still nice to offer."

Jude nodded with a small smile. "Yeah." He didn't really want to say anything to break the quiet, comfortable mood they were in.

Setsuna didn't really want to, either. So she just smiled as she held the door to the stairway open for him and quietly started down the stairs slowly.
