Chad was making celebratory end-of-the-semester and holy-crap-it's-almost-Christmas enchaladas.

Hey, salsa and hot sauce was red; guacamole was green. Christmasy enough.

Pity that couldn't have come out 'Hey, enchaladas! Ooooh, Chad!' Chad grinned a little to himself.

"Hey, Pippi. Hungry?"

"Oh yes I surely would thank you!"

Chad dished out an enchalada for Pippi and handed her the plate, then nodded with an explanitory grunt toward all the fixings set out on the counter.

"Thanks! So, all done with finals?"

"Yup; I even got cookies in my last one."

"Oh yes, for SCIENCE!"

"Hey, food! Ooooh, Chad!" Jude limped into the common room, grinning.

"Yes, food and Chad</strike. Want some?"

"Totally," Jude drawled, limping over to poke his nose into the enchalada-making process. And, of course, it put him close to Chad.

Chad grinned a bit as he dished out an enchalada for Jude, a particularly well-made one from the batch already finished. "Stuff for its right over there."

"Thanks, bro," he grinned up at him, loading it up.

Chad took careful stock of what Jude loaded his enchalada up with. That sort of thing was important.

That would be everything. The boy had a bottomless iron stomach and would eat even Starr's cooking. But his tongue poked out a bit as he concentrated as if carefully selecting everything.

"Hey Jude! Oooh, Chad!"

"Hey Pippi! Isn't he pretty?"

"How did finals go for you? He is at that. I especially like I don't have to worry about accidentally crushing him."

Jude flashed a thumbs-up. "Tooootally awesome, bra. I rocked them. He can still squish me, though."

"Congradulations!" Pippi applauded for him.

That's what I said when I first noticed Nadia's new nefarious scheme. "Jude would be a grease spot but he'll die happy."

Mac poked her head into the common room, saw Chad and ran away again.

...uh, not that she didn't come back a couple of minutes later with something (http://www.unibev.co.uk/mediac/400_0/media/Mighty~Mallows~02.jpg) behind her back.

"Heeey Chad," she said wandering over to see what he was making.

"Heeeeey Mac. Want some food?"

"So long as it's vegan, I'm all for it," she replied peering over Chad's shoulder around Chad at the food. "Whatcha making today?"

"Enchaladas," he told her, "an' vegan is totally possible, just gotta give me a sec to make one up for you." And he finished the last one in the next batch and started right on the special one. "Won't be very exciting at first, though, but salsa and guacamole and lettuce is all vegan, right?"

"All vegan," Mac assured him.

She then pulled the bag of marshmallows out and dangled it in front of him. "And these are for you," she said. "Just a bit of ammo to get you started. Merry Christmas."

Chad was promptly distracted by a dangling back of marshmallows. "Mac!" he abandoned the enchalada making for a moment to seize the gift. "You're awesome. Gracias."
