The Pool; Sunday Noonish to Question Mark; July in Christmas Party.

Pippi had done wonderfully with decking the basement pool out to make it look like a luau; Chad helped hanged everything up high on the walls. Still, his favourite part had to be all the faux mini-palm trees strung with holiday lights everywhere. They were just too cute.

The pool toys were scattered around, the electric grill was fired up, and the holiday pool party was ready to go.

Mostly for swimming and splashing and playing chicken or Marco Polo. No diving off the shallow end, dudes.

Chad's not much of a swimmer, so he doesn't mind manning the grill and cooking up all your hamburgers and hot dogs. Yes, Jude, there are sticks. Yes, Mac, there are vegan options, too. The Chad cares.

[[ food options are completely moddable; the idea was to keep things summery, but Chad and Pippi organized this. They could'a thought of anything and arguably considered it summery. ]]

For the mingling outside of the water. There's lots of comfy deck chairs. And holiday music.

I...won't be around until later tonight. Crazy holiday stuff. So no actual Chad interaction until then. *pout* Have fun, kids.

...And I swear this wasn't just an excuse to showcase off Chad's shirtless icon.

...Mostly.

Nadia happened to think that this particular holiday theme was very traditional, and was far too happy to be heading down to the basement in her swim suit.

Once there, she poured herself a Christmas iced tea. Ahhh, Christmas.

Jude, cast carefully wrapped in plastic and being actually careful about his speed on crutches for once, staked out a deck chair at a safe distance from the pool. He was wearing swim trunks and instead of his toque, a pair of reindeer antlers which had a tendency to list to one side.

HAHAHAHA July in Christmas!

"Best. Christmas Eve. Ever," Cally said, grabbing a veggie burger. She was feeling guilty about the bacon she had earlier.

"So," Cally said, wandering up to Nadia and casting glances in shirtless Chad's direction.

"What was it like?"

Teddy grabbed a veggie burger and tried not to feel uncomfortable in his swimsuit. He was attempting to hide his lower half behind the food table.

"What was what like?"

"Kissing Chad," Cally said.

Ah.

Nadia also looked over in shirtless!Chad's direction.

Then she glanced around to see if Walter was about.

Then she replied quietly. "Very, very, very, very hot."

Cally glanced around to see if Mac was about.

She replied quietly. "Almost makes you wish the mistletoe would show up again."

Nadia let out a very small sigh. "Yeah."

Cally grinned. "Or if it showed up next to Teddy and Chad..."

Nadia shook her head, glancing in the other direction. "Jude and Chad. They're too cute together."

"Yeah, okay, okay," Cally said. "But still... pretty."

"That's what I told them. When they kept asking why girls like to see boys kiss."

"The easy reply is, of course, why do boys like to see girls kiss? Same reasons," Cally said.

Cally peered over at Teddy. "Hiding something?"

Teddy moved oh so stealthily to keep himself hidden from Cally's scrutiny. "No, just enjoying the food."

And he was still a terrible liar.

"...you're not wearing, like, a banana hammock, are you?" Cally asked.

Teddy looked horrified. "No! God no!"

"It's just kinda skimpier than I'm used to," He said, shuffling his feet nervously. "One of the girls back home picked it out for me."

"Hey, I got a feeling you can pull off skimpy," Cally said. "Me, I... try. But I still am kinda a little pudgy in places."
