Pippi just happens to be wandering by.
Lana waved to her. "Hey, Pippi! Have a good Christmas?"
"Hey Lana! Yes. It was quite nice." Pippi nodded. "And yourself?"
Lana ducked her head and smiled a little shyly. "Probably the best I've had in a really long time. Everything seemed so much better with Jim along."
Lana smiled at him. "Hey, John."
He waved, a bit gingerly. "Hey. Lana. Um. How's things?"
"Really good," she said quietly, but with a soft smile. "How about you?"
"Oh, I've had my better days, but I can't complain. Too much." He smiled a bit back.
"Have you met any of the new students?" she asked. "I kind of avoided the whole meet and greet today, figured it would be pretty crazy."
"A few. I... haven't been social much. I'm a Big BRother, though."
"Really?" Lana beamed at him. "That's great. It will be a good excuse for you to be a little more social if you want. Who are they?"
"This Jim Halpert. I've only got the one. Or at least, they only told me about the one. Did you sign up?"
Lana shook her head. "No, I did before, so I'm Seely's Big Sister, but I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time to take on another one this semester."
Marie stopped by the common room on her way to the clinic. "Hey, Lana, I got your message," she said, looking troubled.
Lana looked up, "Marie!" she said happily, then stopped. "Is... are you okay?"
"Seely. THat Angel-lookin' guy?"
Lana grinned. "Yes, but don't say that to him. He's very sensitive about it."
"Yeah, if I looked like Angel? I'd be sensitive, too."
"Not really," Marie admitted. "Dr. Wilson got hurt. He's in the clinic. I'm on my way there now."
Lana looked puzzled. "I don't know. Angel's awfully good-looking, I wouldn't think it was such a bad thing to look like him."
Lana bit her lip and nodded. "Yeah, I heard. I spent part of the afternoon with Mr. Aziraphale. I'm planning on going over to the clinic later myself."
She went over to Marie. "Are you okay? Do you want me to go with you?"
She went over to Marie. "Are you okay? Do you want me to go with you?"
"Yeah, but there's a lot of baggage. Plus, you'd hafta worry about being mistaken for Angelus or Seely."
"True," Lana said thoughtfully. "I guess I only knew him sort of in a peripheral way - on his own without anyone else around - so I missed a lot of the baggage stuff. And I never knew Angelus or much about him."
"He's a charmer. Really great guy." John's grin dissapears.
