Fifth Floor Common Room - Wed. Morn.
This morning, after waking up screaming at the top of her lungs, "GET OFF MY FOOT! GET OFF MY FOOT!" Annette quickly realized that she was not in Kansas anymore. Literally.
Jumping from her bed, she snatched her robe, shoved her feet into her slippers, and raced through the door before Cally could say anything to her about her totally loosing her mind. Or freaking out. Was there a difference? Gahhh! Annette walked quickly down the hallway to the common room as she wrapped her robe around her and tied the sash tight. No one was about yet, which was a good thing. She could just sit for a minute, collect her thoughts, possibly put in a call to Aunt Catherine. Yes, that's it! Aunt Catherine.
Luckily for Annette, her cell phone was in the pocket of her robe. Imagine that.
Twenty minutes later her head was in her hand, her eyes closed, "No, Aunt Catherine, I swear to you, it is not Halloween come early. Yes, I promise. I will. I will. Catboy? No, really, he's fine, harmless. Just my fake big brother. Cally is still great. I have a great roommate, don't worry." Pause. Pause. Nod.
"I'll call, I promise, first time I see one of those...things. Love you too. Bye." The phone snapped closed and Annette leaned her head back against the chair, listening to her stomach growl.
(ooc: open!! but sp is total love today. seeing holiday family off to the airport!)

Co-ed? The dorms were co-ed? Was that in the brochure? Did her parents skip that part?
"Uh," Okay, he was reading, she shouldn't interrupt.
"Uh, hello." Brow raised. "I don't mean to interrupt you, but do you happen to be on the wrong floor or anything? You know, just wondering and stuff, because I wasn't aware the floors were co-ed?" She blinked and hoped that didn't sound rude.

"What's wrong with your foot!?" she asked.

Then she blinked and tilted her head, "My foot?" Pause. "OH! My foot! I was dreaming. A nasty looking troll had a hold of one of my feet while his buddy got ready to clobber it to death."
She smiled, sort of. "I'm sorry. Did I wake you?"

She sat up a bit more, hopeful. She forgot to eat last night and her stomach was having a field day. The smell of popcorn made her mouth water and since the popcorn started flying around the kitchen area, did that mean it was good for everyone else too?
Slowly she stood up and wandered over, "Hey. That's a lot of popcorn. You can catch pretty good. Um, I'm Annette. You wouldn't happen to want to share, would you?"

Plus, oh look, new people. She waved in a general greeting, and went to find herself coffee before anything else. As she would.
