Pippi is feeling much better then she did last night.

She seems to recall that somebody was excited about pancakes for breakfast... She also has plans with somebody else to celebrate their being here for a whole year. Which also calls for a hardy breakfast.

Blaring from the speakers of her laptop on the table is a recording of Teal Dear Live at La la's Voodoo Lounge.

The smell of food cooking drew Steerpike upward that morning, and he paused in the door way to offer Pippi a low bow. "Good morning, your highness." He continued to use the pleasantries, though he was now quite sure that she could not be a princess of any importance. "I see you are cooking once again."

Pippi is the most important princess on her island. They're just not on her island right now.

"That I am. I find it quite relaxing... And not many people around here cook." Pippi smiled at him while flipping some pancakes.

"Ah. Yes, your friend Walter informed me of that, as well. I admit I can see why they would not, I find the occupation quite irritating."

Another new person. That wasn't surprising, as a lot of them had arrived recently.

"You look like Walter, but you're not," River said.

Steerpike raised his eyebrow slightly, but nodded. "That's very astute, Miss." He bowed. "I am Steerpike."

Ah. His double. Well, he should make an effort to get to know him. Maybe he'd have some fun with it sometime.

"Good morning. How have you been finding Fandom?"

The butler. Steerpike thought he might take advantage of this to get more acquainted with Walter's posture and mannerisms. He bowed. "Well enough. I think I'll go into town today, and find some employment."

Annette wandered in after she had cleared her head with the writing in her journal. She had also showered and was really good to go now.

She also smelled pancakes.

"Pippi!" She said cheerily when she saw her in the kitchen. "Tell me you will share?"

The bow Steerpike offered Annette was shallower than that he'd given Pippi, but no less polite. "Good morning, miss."

Oh! A bow! How very gentlemanly!

Annette grinned and inclined a brow, "Good morning to you. Have we met? I don't think so. I'm Annette, room 508."

Annette clapped her hands. Getting excited over pancakes was something else.

"I think I will have fruit with mine today."

River smiled and nodded a hello to the new girl she had met the other day. "Pippi makes good pancakes."

Walter hadn't met enough of the new people yet, so he smiled at the blonde. Was he wrong in thinking she rather resembled one of last summer's teachers? He didn't think so.

Stupid Fandom.

Now that Chad had had some coffee, he was starting to notice things a little better and, among those things, was Cute New Blonde Girl. He held up a hand in a wave when her eyes might have caught it and said, "Hello." Although, really, a big, tall Mexican kid waving would be kind of hard to miss.

The smell of Pippi's pancakes drew River from her room. "Morning," she said. "How is Pippi?"

"Pippi is much better this morning then she was last night."

Cold. It was really frakking cold.

It was morning. What was Chad doing up, when he didn't have any classes or anything? And he was up two floors as well, which meant he had to scale a few flights of stairs to get here. But there was a strong siren call coming from this location. He had to confirm that he wasn't just going crazy.

"That is us," he grunted as he found the source of the music.

"It sounds real cool." Pippi said. "So it must be us."

Walter was all about the pancakes, but he gave Chad a wave. "Good morning."

Valentine was a man on a mission.

A man on a mission for pancakes.

Pippi's pancakes, which he had been told were absolutely fantastic.

And so, into the fifth floor common room he went, a smile on his face, and his pockets empty.

"Something in here smells delicious," he decided as he stepped in the door.

"Hello? Is there someone I know under there?"
