The roof, Friday, early evening

Nadia lay flat on her back, staring up at the clouded sky, getting thoroughly damp in the half-hearted rain.

It wasn't warm, but it certainly wasn't cold, and the news she'd gotten about Wilson having woken up had her in a decent mood.

She was still troubled by the fact that the dream she'd gotten about what had happened had come far to late to do, she suspected, even a little bit of good, but she supposed that didn't matter, now.

So she lay on the roof, eyes half-closed to keep the rain from them, and let her mind wander.

He was on a mission to figure this whole place out. Nova hadn't been on the roof yet, and it was about time that he saw at least an inkling of the outdoors. Rain was not a problem.

Setsuna had been trying to stay out of her room to avoid the awkwardness of the omg-boy roommate. The rain wasn't warm, and it was cold enough, though, that she was clinging to her umbrella a little. She noticed the strange fellow in the hood, gave him a nod.

She also noticed Nadia laying down in the rain. Head tilted, Setsuna and her umbrella went to her, standing over as she asked quietly, "Everything okay, Nadia?"

Nadia lifted her head and her hand.

"Hello, new student?"

"Just thinking, not emo," Nadia answered quickly. "It's been an odd couple of days."

Setsuna nodded a little. "I see. That's good, then. Not that your days have been odd, but that you're not emo."

"What brings you up here, Setsuna?"

Setsuna shrugged, gripped onto her umbrella tighter. Stupid rain. "Boredom, I suppose," she answered as she looked out over the view. "Trying to give my new roommate a proper amount of privacy."

"Oh? Who's your new roommate?"

"His name is Marco," Setsuna told her. "He is very nice, but it's just a little strange for me to have a boy as a roommate. It'll take some getting used to, especially after so long without any roommate at all."

Cally wandered to the roof with a box full of empty jars.

"Hey everyone!" she said, before going about her bottling from the still.

"I completely understand." Nadia grinned. "I had a single for most of my first semester here, and then this summer, Jamie showed up. But I'm pretty used to changing my life."

"Hey, Cally. How's it going?"

Setsuna looked over her shoulder with a small smile. "Hey, Cally. How are you?"

Setsuna nodded a little. "Yeah, me? Not so much. But I'm sure it'll work out. Like I said, he seems nice. I just hope that, along with his niceness, doesn't come a big helping of stupid. Boys seem to have a lot of that."

Nova nodded an affirmative, "Yes." This was someone he hadn't met yet. He would try his best not to embarrass himself.

"Setsuna!" Cally grinned. "You're back!"

Okay, she might have missed the question.

Setsuna chuckled a little at the enthusiasm, blushing a bit. "Heh, yeah, I've been back for a few days now. And very, very glad for it. That was an extremely long twelve days..."

"Spent with the twins? I can believe it," Cally said. "You and Ranma have fun, though?"

"Considering Ranma got interogated by my boss, then got into a fight with a crazy person he used to go to school with, and then had the first kiss of the new year with me stolen by Hikaru?" Setsuna? Sounding a little bitter? Oh, yes. "It could have been better. But it wasn't all bad, either. It was nice to see Konoka-Ojou-sama for Christmas; I wish I could have spent more time in Kyoto with her..."

"Konoka-Ojou-sama?" Cally asked. "Wow, that's a mouthful..."

A few more people arrived that Nova hadn't met yet. Nova looked around, getting familiar with these new faces. He felt compelled to watch the girl with the jars.

"Not too bad. Dr. Wilson woke up, apparently."
