Fourth Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

Henry decided to make breakfast. This was, undoubtedly, the first time he'd ever attempted such a task. But he figured that it couldn't be too hard. He'd watched his cook cooking before, so he felt very positive about the whole thing.
After figuring out how to work the stove, Henry set about the task of making scrambled eggs.

Nova nodded. This new student game seemed to be really popular. He wondered how much longer he'd have to play.

A very long time.

"I'm Teddy, by the way," He said, putting his hand out.

Nova accepts a handshake. "I'm Nova."

Not much of a conversationalist, huh?

"So, do you like the school so far?"

Nova tried to evaluate his experience so far to give an accurate reply. He had met a lot of strange, unfamiliar people, some with tempers and others who thought about clothes too much. There was also a lot of uncomfortable interrogation. He tried to hide a frown; and his words came out slowly; but he managed to say, "Good." Not a complete lie, but it was the easiest answer.

"Not too strange for you?" Teddy asked. "I mean, I was really confused by a lot of what was going on here when I first started."

Nova shook his head. The people seemed more strange than the school or the island. He frowned a little. Nova really missed Shinigami, Quincys, and mod-souls (even Kon).

Conversation, dying slowly. Teddy tried another tactic. "So, where are you from?"

"Karakura, Japan," Nova said. He doubted these people knew much about Soul Society.

"Really?" Teddy asked, excitedly. "A bunch of people are from Japan here, maybe you might know some of them."

Nova frowned a bit. He didn't recall anyone he knew being here. He may have met someone from Japan though. He couldn't really remember.

"Just, you know, a possibility," Teddy said in response to the silence.

Nova really didn't want to be a disappointment, but he didn't know what to say. He hadn't really met that many people yet. Not to mention there were so many people in Japan, even his little corner of Japan. "I'm sorry..." he said after a while.

Teddy waved off his apology. "It's cool. You're just the quiet type. My-" He stopped before he said boyfriend, because that wasn't true. He thought. It was too complicated and weird for this early in the morning. "Chad's like that too."

"...Sado?" Nova said softly. He was just thinking aloud. The name reminded Nova of someone he knew, but of course the Chad he knew was still in Karakura waiting for the Bounto to reappear.

Teddy's eyebrows scrunched up in confusion. "Huh?"

When he said that maybe Nova would know people, he hadn't meant Chad.

Nova stared at Teddy confused by the look he was giving him. He didn't mean to speak out loud, but he thought it would be best to explain what he said. "Back home...a Yasutora Sado is my friend," he said. "You mentioned the name Chad and it reminded me."

"Then, um, you might know someone who goes to school here," Teddy said. "That's Chad's name too."

How could that be true? Nova remembered Chad being back home. The guy Teddy was talking about couldn't be Chad. But the names...
"Sado is here?" he asked with a confused frown.

"Unless that's a really common name or something..." Teddy trailed off.

No, Nova only knew of one Chad, though it wasn't completely impossible for someone else to have the same name. The same person being in two places at once was another story. It was difficult to think about.
"...I'm sorry..." he apologized again.
He still felt like he was being a disappointment.

Now Teddy was really confused. Why was Nova apologizing again?

"I could ask him if he knows you," He offered. "It wouldn't be too strange if he did. Time travel is surprisingly common here."

Nova knew about traveling through empty space, but he knew nothing about time travel. Still, he would keep an eye out for this other Chad, whatever the guy looked like.
