The lobby had been . . . well, decked out could be the term, possibly. . . . The floor was covered in some sort of black astroturf, the walls were festooned in black crepe paper. Black buckets filled with black water balloons and tables with black silly string were in the corners, and a black clothed table held pies and snacks, especially cupcakes, all chocolate, or otherwise . . . well . . . black.

The black banana cream pie was especially of interest.

There were signs to point out this was done with food coloring, and was not to be thought of as inedible.

Nadia herself was decked out in her blackest blacks, wearing a pin with a big black X over a pink pony with wings, and a banner read:

[ooc: very minimal OCD ~~going~~ is up. I will be afk for the next few hours attending a company holiday party, but will return asap as I don't really want to deal with all that for too long tonight. Anders will, hopefully, be along shortly as well. It's in the lobby so that teachers may also participate, and, yes, Nadia will be doing the clean up, afterwards, should folks decide to play with the water balloons and silly string. Tori had seen the signs and gotten a heads up from Nadia about the party, so she made her way down to the lobby. There was no pink to be found in her outfit, blue, no pink.

She admired the decorations and decided to get some food while down there.

Pippi walks in with Old Man on her way back from her ride in town.

What's she wearing?

Pink.

Why Ms. Frizzle owns a black dress covered in a flying pink pony pattern print? No one really knows.

But it does make her a wonderful target.

Shawn is here. He did tell Parker he'd support the coalition yesterday, after all. He's inwardly boggling at the amount of black, but that doesn't stop him from finding the cupcakes first.

Kaylee found it impossible not to wear pink as most of her wardrobe consists of it. She showed up anyway.

Annette showed up in a little black dress, her mood somewhat reserved, but still an improvement since this afternoon.

Taking in the decorations, she wandered over to a table of refreshments and picked up a glass of punch.

Wyatt looked around warily, wondering if the pink ponies were some sort of prank.

Cally was there, and in all black.

Not for anti-pink pony purposes, but just cause that's her normal attire.

Walter, surprise surprise, was not wearing pink.

Nor was he a pink pony ~~again~~ for which he was quite grateful.

But food? Oh yes, he was all about the food.

Shawn is actually doing pretty well at this whole 'meeting newbies' thing. So he might as well continue on that track.

And look, there's a new person. "Hey."

Shawn waved at Pippi with a mouthful of cupcake. He's got good enough manners today to keep his mouth shut.

"Hi Shawn!" Pippi waved back.

Oooh, cupcakes!

"Did you get all the classes you wanted?"

Shawn, actually kind of getting into this social butterfly thing. He smiled, and waved at the girl he didn't know.

"Oh, hey." Tori smiled, noticing the unfamiliar face. "I'm Tori."

"Most of them, yeah," Shawn replied finishing off his mouthful. "You?"

"Shawn," he said in introduction. "I'm gonna guess, new girl? Unless I've been more antisocial than I realised."

Neil was suspicious of this Evil Pink Pony Awareness as it smacked of something he and the boys would have put together for the new students at Welton but he didn't have anything better to do this Saturday evening and it was probably a good chance to meet some new people.

So, neatly dressed in slacks and a dress shirt, Neil headed down to the lobby to see what there was to see!

"I got them all. Which is surprising. And they're all before lunch!"

*blink blink*

Wow.

"Nice to meet you Shawn." Tori chuckled. "You guessed right."

Wearing pink. And followed by Old Man.
