[3rd Floor Common Room, Evening] Birthday Party!

It's Weiss's 17th birthday and he's providing chocolate cake and (moddable) soda! There's even some vegan cupcakes if you're so inclined. This shindig is open invite, so come on down.

[OOC: ~~I will be in and out for a bit, so count on Weiss's threads to be slowplay until after 8 and then full-on party mode after that~~ I'm here!]

ETA: Oh yes, there's actually a sign up that indicates party and free cake, if your character needs a reason to wander in. I forget details.

She found one of the last diet coke's and looked around.

Jack was on his way out the door when he spotted Izzy. He didn't greet her, just snuck up behind her and pulled her into a bear hug. "You look good enough to eat," he murmured in her ear.

Isabel laughed, turning to kiss his cheek. "Like it do you? And you realize you smell like a distillery?" She pulled back a bit and laughed again. "Shirtless night?"

"Seahorse reunion." He nuzzled his nose into her hair, grinning. "You look amazing." And because it was Jack, and he'd had more than a bit to drink, he stroked one hand down her thigh. "Feel amazing too."

"Oh now that's got to be quite the collection of pretty," she said with a sigh. "You look pretty good yourself. And if that hands moves another inch you might loose it." But she grinned as said it. "Did Cedric make it to the party?"

"It's very pretty." He kissed the top of her head. "Izzy," he said reproachfully. "As if I would. I just like the way it feels. And he did. He's having a great time. And he and Sam were flirting." From Jack's tone, it was obvious he had no idea how to feel about that. "That was very pretty, too."

"Good. I brought him dinner and a movie the other night, to keep him company for awhile. I'm glad he's getting out," Isabel said. She ruffled Jack's hair. "Don't sound so confused. You love the pretty picture."

"It is a very pretty picture," he sighed, as a riot of possibilities tumbled through his imagination. "And thank you. I worry less knowing you're looking out for him."

"Of course I will," she said. "I told you, and I told him last night. He's not just your thingie. He's my friend to."

"Hey, Isabel," Parker said, laughing a little after Jack left.

Still highly amused, Isabel grinned. "Now that was pretty."

"Extremely." She grinned. "I saw you at Caritas. The band sounded good, didn't they?"

Not looking at the Birthday Boy. Nope.

"They did," she nodded. "Better every time I hear them." Isabel on the other hand had no problem casually looking around for the birthday boy. "So have you seen Weiss yet? What did you get him?"

"A watch." Parker looked very pleased with herself. "A nice one. Practically indestructible. Titanium, and all." She tapped her fingers in a little victory dance on the Coke can. "Things look-- good."

"Nice, tasteful, potentially meaningful, but it doesn't go overboard," Isabel said, nodding in approval. "Oh? Do you have inside information or something?"

Parker smiled. No, smirked. Shrugged.

Looked very, very mysterious.

Isabel mock pouted. "Mean! Mean! Mean! Mean!"

"Isabel! Thanks for coming," Weiss said.

"I wouldn't have missed it," she smiled, handing over her gift. "I'm sorry I was late, I'd gone down to catch some of the Teal Deer show."

"It's my bad luck for having a birthday on an extremely busy night," Weiss said. He opened his gift and grinned. He flipped through and laughed at some of the more obvious visual jokes. "Okay, we hug now."

"Please, I think there's at least five or six people that have a birthday within a week of mine. Last year we just had a huge party." Isabel opened her arms, "Hugs are very good."

And there was a Weissian bear hug. Or a bearian Weiss hug. Your preference. "So glad you made it."

"Very glad to be here. Seriously," Isabel said. "So how's the new semester going?"

He glanced over at Parker. "Pretty well. Surprising, really."

"Funny how that happens," she said, following his gaze. Isabel doesn't want to meddle, but the inner romantic in her had to say something. "Personally I think it's only going to get better."
