Cheerleader Try-Outs, Sunday, noon!

The gym was set up as it had been for other try-outs. The current cheerleaders were sitting behind desks, pen and paper ready to make judging marks. In front of them were an open space, with a pile of mats to one side in case someone was feeling uncertain of their abilities. There was ample space on the bleachers for an audience to support and/or mock the people trying out.

They would need at least three cheerleaders to replace those graduating this spring.

Rikku wasn't planning on going to tryouts; she just happened to wander by and see lots of people yelling and bouncing and dancing around, and that's pretty much her definition of a good time.

So, when it's her turn - after much "Do what now?" - she puts her hands on her hips and begins cheer-shouting, punctuated with a lot of jumps and handwaves.

I'm not sure what you're all doing! *clap-clap*, *clap-clap-clap-clap*
But this looks like it's lots of fun! *clap-clap*, *clap-clap-clap-clap*
Those outfits look really cool! *clap-clap*, *clap-clap-clap-clap*
Oh crap, I forgot to rhyme! *clap-clap*, *clap-clap-clap-clap*

Her big finish is a lot of toe-touches and other jumps while yelling "WOOO!" and "GO FANDOM!"

Buffy grinned. The cheer was a little dubious, but the yelling and the toe-touches were really good.
