2nd Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Tannim settled in on the couch with a bowl of Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs and the remote. As he flipped through the channels, he grumbled about the lack of Sunday morning cartoons.

Nova sunk behind his hood, hiding the extremely distraught, frowny expression he had.

"I'm...a mod-soul." He paused, calming himself. "It's not a religion."

"Ohh-kayy..." Turtle looked at him like he was crazy. Because she kind of thought he was. "Well...what the heck is that? I never heard of a mod-soul before."

Nova was further distressed by the look he was getting. "Mod-souls were created for combat, and they can be placed into any vacant body." It was the explanation he had come up with, and he stuck to it.

"Any body?" Turtle said, skeptically, while also biting back a comment that if he could be put in any body, why the hell'd he pick that one?

"So, if you really wanted to, you could take any body and, like, be that person?"

"A vacant body," he pointed out. He didn't want to imagine what would happen if his soul had to compete with another for its current residence.

"One without a soul." He wondered if he should mention that this included the bodies of stuffed animals.

"...Oh." Turtle frowned; as a person not even in the slightest bit religion, she wasn't even sure she believed in people having souls, or that she had one, so she marked herself as someone who should maybe watch out for Nova trying to take over her body...

...if any of that was even true, anyway. Maybe Nova didn't get enough air and oxygen to his brain with that hood covering his mouth and nose like that.

"That...is definately different, Nova."

Nova was just happy that there seemed to be no more confusion despite any body-snatcheresque thoughts Turtle may or may not be having.

He didn't know what to say so he just responded with, "hmmm..." in an 'is that so' kind of way.
