Fifth floor common room -- late morning: Sunny day, sweeping the clouds away...
Sokka settled down to enjoy a class-free morning in front of the teevee box, and managed to happen across children's educational programming.
'The Holy Grail!', he would have thought, or 'the Rosetta Stone!' -- if he had any idea what either of those were, but he doesn't. What he DOES know is that he may just be able to figure out the weird system of writing around here without having to *gasp* ask someone for help.
So, he has settled in to absorb as much Poppyseed Lane as humanly possible, and take copious notes. Copious. Like, a lot.
Within the first ten minutes, the purple puppet with fangs has already unlocked the mysteries of the way Fandom writes numbers by counting to ten ("Ah-ah-ah!"), the Pastry Monster has begun his journey into letters with "P is for Pastry", and two people did a dance while telling him it's okay to mispronounce "tomato".
Now... He threw a pillow at the teevee box. "I already know the difference between 'near' and 'far', you stupid puppet!" he shouted at it.

Okay, this definitely wasn't a memory sphere. Unless the person was insane.
"What is this?!"

"Uh -- I don't know," he said, after a moment. "It's really strange. But oddly hypnotic."

She sat down on the floor and watched the fiends dance some more. "Of course we all have noses. What kind of song is this!?"
no subject
... No, wait, that came out wrong.
Hi, I'm Sokka."
Some more letters came onscreen, and he made a few more surreptitious notes.

Turning back to the teevee, Rikku realized she was starting to hum along with the song. She giggled. "Whoa, you weren't kidding about the hypnotic thing, were you?"

She wandered in, still clutching the book. "Hi."

The plot of this story was kind of hard to follow. Maybe it was an arty kind of thing.

She waved to it vaguely. "How'd you know? Have you seen this before?"
