School grounds [afternoon]

Mufasa had enjoyed his time at the brunch--even if the free range caramels had gotten stuck in his teeth--but now it was time for more difficult prey.

He crouched behind a bush, tail swishing, and waited for a gremlin to arrive.

It was part of the Circle of Life, after all.

Oh, look! A gremlin making a rare above ground dash from the school to the dorms! How fortuitous!

Mufasa pounced.

Mwahaha! Victory would be his!

The gremlin was already jumpy from being out in the open during the day so it didn't take long for it to notice the big cat with the long teeth and the sharp claws coming for it. With a squeak of terror, it tried to dive out of the lion's way.

Mufasa was too fast for that. He caught the gremlin between his two front paws, then smiled down at it. "Hello."

The gremlin squeaked again, shivering with fear. The, keeping its eyes on Mufasa, he turned his head to the side and bit one of his paws. Hard.

Mufasa let out a snarling yelp of pain and began licking his paw.

Then the world went black.

He woke up a few moments later, cleared his throat and intoned, "This...is CNN."

As soon as Mufasa let go, the gremlin took off as fast as he could without looking back.
