the hallway just outside room 508 - Thurs. morn.

Coming back from her shower, Annette wrapped her towel more securely around her, tucking it in over her chest. It was still pretty early though and not many seemed to be up yet; the hallway was empty for now save herself.

When she reached her door the knob wouldn't turn. She tried again and it wouldn't budge. Frowning, she shoved her shoulder against it and pushed while she worked the knob - still nothing. That's about the time she started to hear the laughter. It was low at first but then suddenly bubbled up and exploded right in front of her. Her eyes widened and she stepped back. The laughing was deep and husky and Annette knew there couldn't possibly be a man in her room. She pressed her ear to the door...

"Get off me!" Laughed the door. "You silly twit! You'll not get in here today. Buh-bye! Shoo! Go away! No one comes in, no one goes out! That's my plan and I'm sticking to it!"

This was when Annette started to flail. She looked up and down the hallway and then kicked her door all panic-y like, beating her fist against it.

Insane giggling from the door ensued.

Mac, up on the fifth floor for who knows what reason, stood and watched Annette's struggle quietly for a moment.

"Have you tried singing to it?" she asked.

Mac eyed the door, cautiously. "No," she responded simply.

She then shrugged and continued to Annette. "It's what it took the last time the doors rebelled," she said. "Might be worth a shot."

"Uhh," Mac stared at Annette. Telling someone else to sing at a door was one thing, actually doing it yourself? Quite another.

"I... guess I have the physical capability," she said slowly. "Doesn't mean I'm any good." She lieees (http://www.myspace.com/amproject), omg.

Mac... didn't look that thrilled with this idea. Just because it had worked the last time, was no guarantee this time would be the same.

"It's your door," Mac said quickly. "You try first." If she was really lucky, she wouldn't have to do it at all.

The mix of Annettes singing, and the whining of the door not entirely pleasant. Mac winced a little before she could stop herself, then really hoped Annette hadn't noticed.

After a couple of seconds she blurted, "Not working." Well, it was true, at least. Whining, was not the same as opening.
