Second floor common room: Saturday Bed Time

The second floor common room looked more like nap time at a pre-school than the coolest common room in the dorms. That would be because there were blankets, pillows, the cushions from the couches and some foam pads set out around the room, forming comfy nests for wee tiny people to curl up in and sleep.

Jack - who was still wearing his kitty ears and had whiskers drawn on his cheeks - was there to tuck Emma in, but he'd be happy to do the same for any wee tiny people who wanted to spend the night.

[ooc: open of course, for wee tinies and others!]

"Wow," Lana said, looking around. "Is it, do you know if it's the same all over the island?"

"I'm good," Lana said with a smile and, remembering his too sharp look the other day, glanced down again to make sure she was wearing a loose sweater. "Jim's feeling a little bit better. How's your arm doing?"

"Did you have fun at the dance last night?" Lana asked. She might have looked just the tiniest bit wistful.

"Chinchillas?" Lana said curiously. "And that was some hesitation there, but fun... that's good."

Lana laughed, remembering a dance from the year previously when Han had all but carried both her and Shep home. "Very true. I certainly don't remember chinchillas before. In fact, I'm not sure I'd even recognize a chinchilla."

"Now, that's a given!" Lana said with a grin.

Lana shuddered. "I can only imagine. Well, Jim and I had a nice quiet night watching movies. He's such a dear. When I got home he was trying to get dressed to take me to the dance, even though he could barely stand up."

"He hasn't left the room in almost two weeks," Lana said. "I think going down the hallway wouldn't have been good for him. But yeah, I would have loved to go to the dance, but I couldn't let him go."

Lana grinned. "Very true. We could always hold an impromptu dance on the roof or something when things warm up."

Lana's smile took on a bit of a sly quality. "Oh trust me, I manage to have quite a lot of fun."

"But a dance on the roof... Jim's not big on crowds, so that might be ideal. Not to mention incredibly romantic to be dancing under the stars."
