Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Morning

Aly had woken up very, very hungry.  And she didn't want to wake up Mommy.  That would be bad.

So instead she was very, very sneaky - she was going to be a spy after all and Daddy said she could be pretty too! - and crept out of the room until she found one of the big rooms with food in there.   She was awfully disappointed not to see Bridge making 'paghetti this time or Auntie Parkie with food though.

But there was food in the cupboards.  She knew it.  And that was why there was a weetiny blond girl carefully scaling the counter to get to the top cupboards where she just knew the good food was kept.

[OOC: Open, of course!]

Chad considered this carefully before he remembered where he knew he had some chocolate chip cookies and then, still holding her carefully, but firmly, relocated the little girl down a few shelves, still at the top, though. Because, of course he kept his food on the top shelves.

Cookies triumphantly located, Chad set the little girl down on the counter. "Hi."

"M'Chad," he responded, and, since he would, in fact, like a cookie, he took one and said, "Thank you."

Chad looked at her carefully, too, because she was really small. "Who's your dad?"

"Oh." Silly Chad, how could he not know that. "Where's he right now?"

...

"Alanna's your mommy?"

Awwwww. Chad pat her head a little, consolingly. "M'sure you'll be big enough for a sword soon."

Chad, too, considered this. "Maybe," he nodded. "An' show how big and strong you are."

Chad looked very impressed. Well, kind of. If Chad was in the habit of emoting, he would look very impressed. "Was she being mean?"

Oh, no. Not a liarhead. "Sounds like you gave 'em what was comin' to 'em." Chad paused, giving little Aly a serious sort of look. "You sure you even need a sword? You sound pretty tough without one."

Chad nodded gravely. "Poke 'em, huh?" he asked, and poked her stomach lightly to see if she would giggle. She seemed the type of little girl who would giggle, and that would be adorable, so he tried.

Cutest. Thing. Ever. "Oh. Right. Sorry. You were so tough and strong that I thought maybe you could be."
