Third Floor Common Room - Sunday Morning

Aly had woken up very, very hungry.  And she didn't want to wake up Mommy.  That would be bad.

So instead she was very, very sneaky - she was going to be a spy after all and Daddy said she could be pretty too! - and crept out of the room until she found one of the big rooms with food in there.   She was awfully disappointed not to see Bridge making 'paghetti this time or Auntie Parkie with food though.

But there was food in the cupboards.  She knew it.  And that was why there was a weetiny blond girl carefully scaling the counter to get to the top cupboards where she just knew the good food was kept.

[OOC: Open, of course!]

Josh might not be In Charge of Playing today, but he still wanted to make sure everything was going okay.

He was a bit bossy like that.

He walked into the common room and grinned. "Hiya, Aly!"

"Are there any bananas?" Josh asked eagerly.

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"You don't?" Josh's eyes went big. "But they're fun to say and you can peel them and on cartoons that peel makes people fall down!"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't know," Josh said. "Want to find out?"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Josh carefully peeled the fruit, putting the banana part on the counter and handing the peel to Aly. "You do the sneaky part," he said. "You're better at it."

"Hmm, another one." Parker cocked her head, pulling her kimono closer and yawning as she sipped her coffee. "Looking for food or fun?"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Can't I have both?" Josh argued.

Which probably helped Parker guess who he was when he was taller.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker narrowed her eyes, trying to remember the less-weird male teachers that didn't wear costumes, and snickered a little. "Sure. Aly's been on a foraging mission. And if you can make the coffee, you can have the coffee."

Hey, he wasn't her kid.

Josh wrinkled up his nose. "I don't like coffee. I tried it yesterday. Is there any chocolate milk?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
"Let's check." Parker opened the fridge door, and frowned into it. "It looks like regular milk, but we have chocolate syrup you can add. Would that work for you?" She pulled down a glass from the cabinets. "Where were you yesterday?"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was running detention," Josh said importantly, squeezing a ridiculous amount of chocolate into his milk.

Parker couldn't control the grin. Josh Lyman. Heeeeee. "Wow, that's a... very important job. Did you make sure they all finished the activities?"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Josh nodded. "And no one died of dysentery."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker had to bzuh? at that one for a moment, then nodded. "Way to go. I heard Dean was kidnapped, though?"

Rose saw the boy with the phone and bounced towards him, "Hi ya, Josh-y!"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
"Hiya, Rose!" Josh replied, putting his phone back into his backpack. "How are you?"

[identity profile] rose-bad-wolf.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"'M tryin' to find adventure!" She proclaimed proudly.

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
"That south of Phoenix, I think," Josh told her. "My gramma went there to gamble."

[identity profile] rose-bad-wolf.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
"F'nix?" Rose echoed, struggling to say the word. "Where's that?"

[identity profile] professor-lyman.livejournal.com 2007-02-19 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
"North of 'Venture," Josh said helpfully. "In Azriona."
