The Hallway - just outside rooom 508 - Sun. afternoon

Annette stood staring down at the mess she created. Between her bed and just outside her open door and into the hallway, the floor was littered with clothes, left over valentine candy, odds and ends of this that and the other that she didn't want anymore. Currently? She was trying to make some sort of order of the chaos she created by shoving stuff into a few boxes she'd found.

Just outside her room, she placed her hands on her hips and frowned down at everything. She had too much stuff. Stuff was everywhere. She just needed to get rid of all of it but was not sure exactly how to do it. And she was tired of looking at it all.

She kicked a shoe down the hallway. She'd lost the one that went with it during Spy Tech when she'd almost blown herself up. Okay, she might have almost blown Jake up too. "Stupid shoe." Then she kicked an empty box just cause it felt good to kick something. "Stupid box." Falling to the floor  in the hall, she rolled over on a pile of clothes and turned on her ipod shoving the earplugs in her ears. Pulling the little rubber ball from her front jeans pocket, she began tossing it in the air above her, seeing how high she could get it to the ceiling.

"Thank you!" Rose said, beaming at her, then shook her head, "I don' need to go home my big brother Jack is 'round here somewhere."

"Jack? Is he on the fifth floor, Rose? Or do you know?" Annette smiled and reached out for her hand. "If he is expecting you I will help you find him. I would like him to worry about his little sister."

"Don' wanna find him yet, I'm off to have adventures!" She said then announced, "'M an Earth Defend'r!"

"An Earth defender? Wow. That is really cool, Rose. What sort of adventures are you planning?" Annette giggled at the little girl Rose was, because how cute!

"Fightin' evil aliens!" She said, "But not good aliens, because we love good aliens!"

"Wow! And you are going to do this all by yourself? What do you have to use to fight against them with?" And is this what Rose really did? Fight off evil aliens? Annette would certainly have to ask whenever Rose became her adult self again.

"Yeah! All 'lone but usually I 'ave Mickey an' Jake but I like goin' off with Doct'r!" Rose said, proud.

Annette was retaining all of that. "Mickey? And yes, I like Jake. Jake is really nice. And the Doctor? Which Doctor would that be Rose?" Okay, questioning a little kid, it just wasn't cool. But Rose was still Rose right? Just a wee one.

"Mickey," Rose said, as if Annette was the wee one, "'E's the boy from down the street in the council. An' there's only one Doct'r." At this Rose looked at Annette as if she were really wee.

She looked down, hiding her amusement from the looks Rose was giving her. Carefully she said, "Well, I know a Dr. Wilson and a Dr. Orpheus..." Hoping Rose would nod or something to either one of those names.

"Oh, Jaime," Rose exclaimed, "I know 'im!"

Jaime? Ohh, Jimmy! That must be what she meant!

"Rose, you are going to promise to come visit me in a couple days, right? I would really like that." Annette asked, nodding with a grin.
