Shooting Range, Friday Afternoon

Pip first made sure the rules were put up. Didn't want someone to lose an eye. Well, another eye.

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

He then pulled out an antique Colt Peacemaker and cleaned it before loading in some bullets and squeezing off some rounds at the targets.

Pippi had been thinking about a number of things, so she decided to make a few things go 'boom' before leaving for the Cheer competition.

"Yo!" Pip called between loud bangs.

"Hey!" Pippi said taking out her flintlocks, and the handgun she'd purchased from Tex.

She brought them over to the loading table where she cleaned and loaded them.

"What's new with you?"

Pip spun the gun around on his finger before showing it to her. "Colt Peacemaker."

"Pretty." she said cocking her head at it. "Where'd ya get it?"

"It was among my father's things," Pip said.

"Oh nice." Pippi said peering at it a little closer. "I take it then your Grandpere sent it to you? Or have you had this and I've just not seen it till now?"

"Got it back in January. Been meaning to try it. I was going to talk to Tex about remodeling it over the weekend, but, well, that didn't work out well."

"It didn't?" Pippi asked looking up. "Maybe Walter could help you then."

"Well, when I say it didn't work out well. I meant that Tex was a little girl when I stopped by."

"I can see how that would put a dampner on things." she nodded. "What did you want done to them?"

"I'm thinking about converting them to modern day revolver firing pins. Or maybe re-boring them for a larger caliber."

"It would probably need to be reinforced somehow..." Pippi said. "Because more modern gunpowder is much more powerful then what this was designed for probably. It's the same thing with my flintlocks. I can't just use any ol' powder in 'em... Al might be able to help you with that part."
