It was Oscars time, which meant, of course, it was time for a party, thrown together at the last minute because Zero had been in editing a lot recently. She had set out an array of handwavey bite-size tasty appetizers, big bowls of popcorn, and an assortment of sodas, water, and sparkling juices.

"Because they don't have it scheduled in?" Parker snickered. "I know protesters used to show up, but they've gotten more careful. We need to get the tech crew on our side."

"I never heard about protesters." Marco said with a frown. "I did get to watch the '99 Oscars from very, very close by."

Marco nodded. "Well...not so much met as got to see, but still it was very cool."

"As Cassie, definetly." Marco nodded with a grin. "And Lucy Lawless for Rachel."

"And of course Brad Pitt for you. Who else?" Parker tossed back another kernel of popcorn. "Any chance you can get Clive Owen a part?"

Marco frowned. "Never even heard of him. Maybe Shawn Ashmore for Jake? CGI for Ax-man, not sure about Bird-boy. Someone emoy would be good."

Snickering, Parker said, "And Spielberg to direct?"

"Oh hell yeah! Come on, the man brought us Saving Private Ryan, ET, and Jurassic Park!"

"Right! It's another blockbuster, how can he pass it up?" Parker smirked. "And you'll thank all the little people when you win Best Adapted Screenplay, right?"

Marco grinned. "I'll just have it ghost written. And hey, after we save the world, it will be a blockbuster! Except we'll leave out the bit about the poodle. And the bit about getting stuck in a trashcan."
