The Roof, Late Monday Night

The air on the roof was frigid and there was a slight drizzle. All was quiet. Suddenly as the previous night, a humm was heard and a bright light appeared. The light stood perfectly motionless in a person-height column and then blinked out of existence, leaving one lone figure to crumple to the ground.

Ami was wearing the clothes she wore the previous night, jeans and a t-shirt. Her coat was missing, there was blood in her matted hair and her clothes, while there, were torn and filthy. There was blood but it was dry.

She was lying in a crumpled heap, not moving.

[establishing return. here for Setsuna]

Ugh. This blasted drizzle. Setsuna drew hood closed tighter around her face; walking around with an umbrella was bit cumbersome, but her earlier discussion with Ranma had her thinking all day, and now she was deserate for a breath of fresh air and a flight. She was curious, as well, to see how well she could withstand this sort of weather without changing into her crow form. If she kept herself covered, and if the wings weren't effected by it...She winced a little, pulling them out, threading them carefully through the alteration in her clothes to allow them to poke through before stretching them out. She winced, then opened up an eye. They stayed, she stayed. The light drizzle didn't seem to effect them. She smiled. Good. If anything, they could also help keep her dry, before the water soaked through...

Setsuna's thoughts were interupted for a moment as something dark off to the side caught her eye. She blinked, and her eyes adjusted quickly. A person, but...so still. Another blink, and more revealed itself in her sharp demon vision. A...Ami?

Startled, Setsuna rushed over, kneeling down beside the form. Definately Ami. What...what had happened? Was...was she okay? "Ami?" she called to her as she took the limp body into her arms, gave her a gentle shake. "Ami!"

"Ami!...//Shit.//" She wasn't responding. Not good, not good, not good. Thank God Setsuna already had her wings out. Thank God the drizzle wasn't effecting them. //"Don't worry, Ami,"// she said quietly, in case there was some inkling of awareness in her, as she gathered the limp body up carefully and held the other tightly to her, rising to her feet. //"We'll get you help quickly. D...don't worry."//

Setsuna stepped carefully to the edge of the roof and lept into flight. The added weight of Ami in her arms took a small bit of adjusting. The drizzle wasn't helping, but it wasn't long until Setsuna was on a straight, quick path toward the clinic.

Eeep. Unable to keep from blushing at the strongly canon-like moan, Setsuna gulped down the fact that Ami was clinging to her and tried to stay focused on the task. She probably didn't realize it, but, interestingly, it managed to actually steel her resolve and propell her through the air qith more quickness and alacrity.

...She was coming to. Good. Setsuna impulsevely held her closer; wouldn't be long until they got there. Nice thing about flying was that it sure made traveling quicker. "Shhh," she said softly, gently. //"Save your energy, Ami-chan. I'll have help for you soon."//

Setsuna frowned deeply. //"It doesn't matter at the moment,"// she said, trying to sound comforting. //"Don't worry, Ami-chan; we'll have help for you soon. Please...just try to relax. Don't strain yourself..."//

Ami...had just swooned in Setsuna's arms. True, it was most likely a swoon from some sort of pain, but it was a swoon nonetheless. It took almost everything Setsuna had not to melt. Melting mid-air with an injured person in your arms was usually very, very bad.
