The Preserve, Friday Evening
Rikku stood at the edge of the preserve. "Okay, are we ready for this?"
She looked around at the others, wondering why she was nervous. It was a lichen. A plant. This was totally doable. Probably.
They had spray bottles of some mixture of holy water and weed killer - Hermione had said it was Fred's idea, and whoever this Fred was, he was a genius. And they had their own wits and strength and luck. Plenty enough to take on an insane plant and save her roommate. This lichenthrope was going down.
She wasn't nervous. Mostly.
[OOC: D'OH! Come in to lichenchat on AIM for planning purposes! My bad!]

"Die! Die! Die you motherfu--Ommmphh!" She never really would have said that terribly diry word anyway, not really. And now she was just focused on the fact that she tripped over a stupid looking rock.
Scrambling up, she righted her goggles and yelled, "I'm okay!" Then she kicked the rock. "Stupid!"

Slowly, it continued up the tree, and stopped to lie in wait above them. As werelichen do.

Opening its little lichen mouth in a silent cry of "BONZAI!!!" the lichen dropped from the tree onto

She turned and bolted towards the source of the screams, spraying and slashing everything in her wake. "Hang on! We're coming!" she yelled.
Not that she was a "we" exactly. Ah well.

He trotted towards Dawn. "What's happening?"

Spray bottle in one hand and club in the other, he let out a war cry and rushed off towards -- well, towards-ish, anyway -- where the scream might have come from.

Her damn goggles kept falling though so the rushing thing ahead of her kind of looked funny. No matter, she kept on because she had heard that screaming and yeah, Annette to the rescue!!
"I'm coming! Here I come! Got my claw!"

She shook her head hard quickly and hopped up and down, trying to get the lichen to fly out of her hair and hit something.

Except there was that whole thing where it didn't have hands, so this might not have been working too well. Grr.

Without telling Dawn that.
Just because he was a genius didn't mean he was smart.

"Hold still, Dawn," he yelled! "We'll get it!"

After a few seconds it occurred to her that this wasn't the best idea and she stopped, abruptly. "Sorry! Are you okay?!?"
no subject
"You? You're the lichen?"

With her wand ready, she pursed her lips and began to spray, but her spray wand was either stopped up or she was out of weed killer and holy water. "Dangit!" She threw her bottle thing to the ground and whipped her hand forward, the one with the claw attachment.
"Okay, Dawn, just bend over a little." She was totally sure she could swipe at her head without actually hitting her on the head. She was sure of it. She just had to adjust her goggles better first.

The lichen started trying to crawl away and off Dawn, because maybe they would have less problems shooting it without a big fleshy target. Woe for the life of a werelichen.

She started hosing it down with her spray bottle. Die, weed, die!

Sokka followed suit. Spray! Spray! Spray!
