For no appearant reason River had decided to make a Sunday breakfast for herself, Berthold and anyone else who might show up. There were popcorn flying about, odd looking pancakes with ice cream, cereals and hot cocoa. River felt immensely proud of herself, and Berthold fluttered about happily under his blanket.

"It's just Berthold," River said. "He's shy."
