The roof, Sunday afternoon
Based on experience, Nadia knew she could still play the guitar, albeit carefully, when she was wearing the shoulder brace.
And since she'd been up half the night riding an emotional roller coaster between joy of having her hand be firmly attached as it was supposed to be, worry and angst over Walter still not being back and whether or not he'd still want to be her boyfriend when he got back, pain, and a very bizarre friskiness, she felt the need for something that reflected those feelings.
So she was sitting in a corner of the roof, wearing the giant, blue, faux-fur muff down over her eyes, and playing They Might Be Giants.
Don't-don't-don't let's start,
This is the worst part,
Could believe for all the world
that you were my precious little girl
But don't-don't-don't let's start,
I've got a weak heart,
and I don't get around how you get around.
When you are alone, you are the cat, you are the phone, you are an animal.
Words I'm singing now mean nothing more than "meow" to an animal.
Wake up and smell the cat food in your bank account,
Don't try to stop the tail that wags the hound.
D. World Destruction.
O.ver and overture,
N. Do I Need
Apostrophe T. Need this Torture?
Don't-don't-don't let's start,
This is the worst part,
Could believe for all the world
that you were my precious little girl
But don't-don't-don't let's start,

No one in the world ever gets what they want, and that is beautiful.
Everybody dies frustrated and sad and that is beautiful.
They want what they're not and I wish they would stop
Singing Deputy Dawg dog a ding dang depadepa
Deputy Dawg dog a ding dang depadepa,
D. World Destruction.

I don't want to live in this world anymore, oh,
I don't want to live in this world,

She could think of nothing better to go with her mood than depressing lyrics to a bouncy tune, played while wearing a ridiculous hat.

"Any other weird shit this weekend?" he asked, taking a deep inhale to better prepare himself for any answer Nadia might give.

But thinking about people being dead made Chad wince, frowning deeply.

For more reasons than that it sucked to lose people you loved. Because, if people didn't die, places like the Soul Society wouldn't have to exist, and then he would have never...would have never had to...go there to save Rukia...and....get closer..to Ichigo and Orihime and...
"...well, maybe it's not that bad. Sometimes."

He added, after a moment, with a slight grin, "I mean, grow spiritually, mentally. I don't need any more growing phsyically."
