Fifth floor common room, Friday evening/night
Nadia decided being social would take her mind off her birthday thoughts.
So she was in the common room now, instead of her dorm room, staring out at the rain.
This? Totally counted as progress.

Best not think about that. She quickly tried to think of potentially better, less angsty topics. "Any strange encounters yesterday with all the...guys...changing...?"
It wasn't until she was halfway through it that Setsuna realized it was a horrible, horrible choice of topic, but she kept it on as to not make a big deal out of it.

Why she was actually asking this was beyond her; her ability to control herself as well as she used to in these situations seemed to have disappeared entirely lately.

...Why couldn't Ranma be curious like that?
Or, at the very least, like Alph--
No. Not even going to think about that. Especially while he was in the same room...
"I...I do hope things went well for you, then." The blush certainly wasn't going anywhere, but Setsuna was still trying to pretend as though this conversation was still somewhere within the boundry of common decency.

And she also realized that she certainly was doing well at the while trying to think of things to talk to Nadia about that didn't make her just dwell on her own pathetic little problems.
She tried to find something she and Nadia had in common. "So. Spying...How'd you land that Spy Tech teacher's aid position? Something you asked M about, or did she approach you on the matter?"
There. That was a nice, secure, comfortable topic.

"Interesting," Setsuna said, with a little nod, and perhaps a small tuggin in the corner of her lip for the sort of security she knew to be on her own background information. "Rather appropriate, too, considering the context of the class."
