'Valenteen' had spent a good twenty minutes rearranging the furniture in the second floor common room to better set the scene for the big shoot of the grand finale of his up and coming blockbuster hit, "Fandom Chicken, The Motion Picture."
This basically meant that the television was turned off and there was a little pillow fort created from the cushions of the couch for the terrible 'Flynn Flonn' to demolish in a flaming rage.
As the head of pyrotechnics had run off to Cuba, and Sokka, his costume mistress, seemed more interested in stupid masks for the extras than actual costuming for the leads, a costume was fashioned for his monster out of a garbage bag with holes cut in it and some coloured paper cut out to look like flames, stuck onto it with duct tape. It was low-budget, but it was brilliant nevertheless.
To top it off, another costume had been quickly fashioned out of a chopped up ice cream bucket, some cardboard, and a few rubber gloves, and it was awaiting a star that was brilliant enough to play the title role of the chicken.
Now, all he needed was for his cast to arrive. And, hopefully, someone who could operate a camera.

Rikku nearly broke character and started laughing at the spoon. But she didn't, because she was going to be a star and stars did NOT do that sort of thing.

"Behold!" she exclaimed. "You have underestimated me! I didn't come here alone! Now you will feel the wrath of ...."

She waved dramatically and let ~~Dawn~~ The Spoon Avenger complete her own intro.

"The Spooooooooooooooooooooooooooon Avenger," Dawn jumped out of the ~~corner~~ darkness waving her spoon at ~~Alec~~ Flynn. "I will make you regret your lack of proper table manners, evil doer! Oh, yeah, and also that stomping all over the city thing, because that would be bad."

Rikku put her hands on her hips and laughed evilly ~~forgetting that she was a hero and not a villain.~~ "Muahahahahaha! So you see! No mere Flynn can stand against our combined power! We shall destroy you and your plans for ... destruction! Take that!"

She waved around emphatically and pumped her fists a few times in an attempt to look threatening.

Dawn poked Rikku in the side with her spoon and whispered in a voice that was in no way whispery, "Evil laughs are for the other side. We just stand here and look heroic while they fall into the plot hole."

It was possible she'd spent too much time watching movies with Xander.

Rikku gasped, not even remembering to keep her voice down. "Oh! Right! I mean ..." She cleared her throat. "Fear us, you evil-doer! For we shall take you down, and there will be no evil laughing out of us! For you have created the plot hole of your own doom!"

She stuck her chest out proudly and attempted to look patriotic.

"I'm only doing this because I used to be insanely attractive and now I'm a MONSTER," Alec said in an appropriately dramatic and foreboding tone. "So now everyone must suffer at my hands!"

Dawn poked him with the spoon. "Ah hah!"

"I would have still totally got down with you, dude!" cried Hero Chicken Rikku dramatically. "But you totally chose evil over me! That's, like, really lame! Now I am a lonely chicken who is going to stop you from wrecking the world! ... With my spoon-chick!"

"Ow!" Alec rubbed at the spot Dawn had poked him, frowning. "I said I'd do my own stunts, but I didn't know there was going to be poking," he grumbled. "Anyway." He cleared his throat and loomed again. "You had your chance to rule the world with me - now I will conquer all and keep you as slaves! Then we'll see who's getting down!"

"You big baby," Dawn teased, then got into "character," glaring at Alec and doing a hair toss she'd seen Buffy do a million times when facing down the bad guy. "You will do no such thing! Because I---" She brandished the spoon, "HAVE THE SPOON OF DESTINY!!!!!"

And then she tossed it at him.

Rikku gasped. "Not ... not the spoon of destiny! But you'll totally kill him and stuff! He might be reform-able! He could be a rockin' good guy kind of thing! Plus, hot smoochies!"

Dawn scowled at Rikku. "What the heck is it with butt kicking heroines wanting to reform the bad guys for the smoochies! Good guys smooch really really well and it's much less dangerous if you kill the bad guys!"

She may have an issue or two.

Alec ducked the spoon, frowning. "Dude, not cool! And hey, bad guys have an air of dangerous awesomeness!"

Rikku sighed dramatically at Dawn. "Me and coal-monster-dude have a really deep connection-thing! You just don't understand! Our love is, like, totally stronger than this whole he's-evil-I'm-not deal!"
