Second Floor Common Room, Saturday evening

"Ricky" led the way out of Room 220 and made his way to the common room. He had a performance tonight, after all, and he had to get set up.

"Where is the band?" he wondered. "Luuuucy?"

[OOC: Peter and Zero received an anniversary present of matching gremlin bites. How sweet. Their humiliation is open to all, of course.]

"Lucy" dashed into the common room and said hopefully, "Oh, Ricky, are you gonna let me be in the show?"

"No, Lucy," Peter said. "But have you seen the band? They should be here by now."

"No," Lucy said, and for once she wasn't lying; she really wasn't responsible for whatever had happened to the band. "I know! I could fill in!"

"No, no, no," Ricky said. "You are not going to be in the show. I'll figure something out." Ricky tried to think of a way to do his show without a band. Then he looked around. "There aren't any instruments anyway."

Isabel hadn't been able to sleep so she was wandering the halls for a while. She stopped and boggled for minute, momentarily considering going to look for Zero's video equipment. Turn about was fair play after all. But she wouldn't do that to Peter. Chuckling, she wandered back to her room cause the mun was too tired to stay and play.

Ricky watched as the girl left. "We're losing our audience before we even had one."

"Maybe we could improvise," Lucy suggested, looking around for anything that could be used as an instrument. "And if the band doesn't show up," she said into space, "Ricky will have to let me be in the show!"

"We don't really have any choice, do we?" Ricky asked in reference to the first part since he totally didn't hear the second part.

Ricky found a remote control. That could be used to drum, whatever it was. And the table could be hit in a vaguely bongo-ish way. "That will have to do. Lucy, did you find anything else?"

Peter was heading up to his room when he heard noise in the second floor common room. He went over to check out what was up.

Then there was staring.

"Hey, what's going on?" Kawalsky had come looking for food. Naturally.

"Oh, no, we have an audience and no band!" Ricky worried. "Unless... You, with the silly hair! Do you know how to play instruments?"

"Welcome to the show!" Ricky greeted with his Cuban accent. "If you can just wait a little bit, we're having some issues with the band."

Ricky turned off to the side and said in a stage whisper, "'Issues.' They're missing and we don't have their instruments!"

Peter self-consciously raked a hand through his hair. "Uh... I could fake drums, maybe?"

"Excellent. You will be our drummer," Ricky declared. "Do you have any drums?"

Peter was starting to figure that this was one of those Fandom things and decided to go along for the ride. "Sorry. Left 'em in my other pants."

"That's fine. We have a table here, you can pretend it's a bongo drum, okay?" Ricky asked.

"No problem," Peter said. "I'll follow your lead?"

Kawalsky did his best to keep a straight face. "Sure," he said, playing along. "Who are you supposed to be?" He wasn't sure if Peter was acting or if this was some kind of Fandom thing.

Alanna had spent a day moping about her room, and finally emerged, cat in tow. "I love Fandom."

Lucy emerged from the kitchen with a funnel. "Maybe it could be like a trumpet?" she suggested.

Lucy glared at the other redhead. "I bet she's here to steal Ricky!"

"I am the band leader, after all," Ricky said. "Now I just need a guitar and more of a band."

"I'm the band leader and singer, of course!" Ricky said. "You can call me Ricky. And how are you tonight?"

Will headed down to the second floor common room, hoping that there wouldn't be a crazy gremlin-high movie director in there tonight.

Instead, she was greeted with a pair of crazy gremlin-high 50s TV actors.

"Great, more crazies," she mumbled to herself.
