Tannim headed back to the 2nd floor common room. He uncovered the sheet cake he'd ordered from J, GOB. It was decorated to look like a fifteen-dollar bill. It said, "In Turtle We Trust," and the center picture was a rough drawing of a girl's head with a long brown braid. He set up bowls of chips and other snacks around the room, and checked the fridge to make sure the sodas and Gatorade he'd bought were still there.

He set up his portable stereo and put in a CD. He wasn't sure what kind of music Turtle liked, so he'd brought an eclectic mix of his own favorites. Carbon Leaf, Nickel Creek and Gaelic Storm thrown in with Rush, They Might Be Giants, and a couple of mash-ups he'd downloaded. If those weren't to everyone's tastes, it was easy enough to change CDs.

He sat down on the couch, opened a Gatorade and hoped people would show up.

"Do you have a preferred nickname, O Sneaky One?" John toned down his grin, totally straight faced.

"No," she replied quietly, straight faced as well. "Just Annette. All proper like."

"Hrm. That's kinda dull, Blondie. I'm sure we can do something much better."

She gave him a look. "Do you think I'm dull, John?"

"Hrm." He gives her the once-over. "I'm sure we can polish you up a bit," he teased, "with a catchy nickname."

She might have pouted. "So I need work. That's what you're telling me?"

"Well, none of us are perfect," he admitted. "I need to work on my snark, and... I'm not sure what you need work on," he teased, "but I'm sure Watermelon wouldn't hurt."

She giggled and lightly pushed his arm, "I bet it would. I love watermelon."

He lightly pushed back. "Me too. 's why I bought it. Totally for me," he teased. "Since you never come by, I guess I'll have to use it all myself."

"Oohh," She smirked. "I thought you were talking about the juicy eating kind." Annette pushed him back.

"If you ask nicely, it could be both." He smirked back. And pushed her with his elbow.

"What makes you think I'll ask at all?"

"That's true. Maybe I should just keep my watermelons to myself."

Annette tilted her head, almost sure there was an innuendo in there. She grinned, "Yeah, but can you handle both of them at the same time? Cause that would be something."

"I think I can manage, yes. Shouldn't be that hard juggling the two."

"You've amazing talent if you can juggle a watermelon while taking a watermelon bath. Of course, be kind of hard to juggle just one watermelon. Wouldn't be juggling then. It'd just be tossing a melon."

"Well, they're better in pairs," he says, raising an eyebrow. "If you've got a pair it makes it more interesting."

"But they're kind of big? Unless you cut them up into smaller balls."

"Either way, they're good. Big melons, balls, if you know what you're doing, they're easy to handle."

"Well, I'm not a juggler. Though I did try once." She remarked, thinking back. "But I do like watermelon."

"It's a good choice. Fragrant, good texture," he nods.
