Third Floor Common Room, Tuesday Night

Valentine stood back and proudly admired the pillow fort that he had made out of the couch cushions. He wasn't half bad at making them even when he wasn't insane by way of cupcake, he decided, and he might take up designing sets for himself more often in the future.
The only thing he was really missing right now was a low-fat non-whip soy latte.

And a cast, crew, script and camera.

He'd iron out the kinks later. Nothing could stand in the way of the progress of the magic of the movies!!


(Common room open, as common rooms are! Come in and be a star? We can figure out OCD as we go. ETA: As most of us have gone to bed, slowplay is now the name of the game to finish that movie. OCD is up for the filming itself, and I think we have pretty much all the positions filled. But if you want to show up and gawk, you can totally do just that.)

Hermione had come in to make some tea in the kitchen, but pauses when she sees the fort. "That's... Why is the sofa taken apart?"

Valentine gave his fingers a thoughtful wiggle as he admired his handiwork.
"It's a movie set, can't you tell? It's a city!"
He seemed rather pleased with himself.

Rikku swept in in her best diva-tastic manner. "Is this the place? We're starting now?" And then the diva-ing gave way to bouncing. "Are we really doing another movie? Really for real? And I can be in it again????"

"Oh," she says, looking over the "set" again. "It's... very nice. What sort of movie are you filming?"

Greg wandered in. "Dude, are we making forts? Where's John?"

Valentine nodded and smiled, giving his hands a clap.
"You were my rubber chicken, my leading lady. Of course you can be in it again!"

"I was thinking perhaps an action thriller. Something involving a rubber chicken." He appeared thoughtful, reaching down and straightening a stray cushion. "Maybe a sequel to my last big film."

Dawn wandered in in her pajamas and robe, yawning, but in need of a snack. And maybe one for Sam and Scout, if she was being nice. "What's..." She spotted Valentine and the couch and Rikku, then announced, "I'm just here for a snack!"

"We're not making forts, we're making sets," Valentine said with an indignant sniff and a wave of the hand. "I'm making a movie, of course."

Alec had gone to his own room for a couple things, mostly to check on his yarn reserves. When he came back through the common room, he did not expect this.

"Oh, natch," Greg said, nodding. "Can I help?"

Hermione's eyebrows raise. "An action thriller involving a rubber chicken," she repeats. "Is this a class project?"

Oddly, she assumes Ares. She'll be convinced if the word 'girlkissy' comes up.

"Your loss, then," Valentine said. "I'll have to find someone who is willing to work for cheaper to play the reprise of the Spoon Avenger in my sequel."

Rikku bowed extravagantly. "Hooray! Uh. Do I have to wear the suit again? It kinda ... itches."

Rory had spent the day asleep and was now wandering around in search of coffee, since she couldn't make her own anymore.

"...what are you doing?"

Valentine seemed a little taken aback.
"Well, no, it isn't a class project." He paused, considering something thoroughly for the whole of a half a second. "Why, do you think I could get extra credit for it?"

After visiting John in his room Naomi didn't want to return to her room so she decided to see if anyone was in the common rooms, she blinked when she saw what was happening, "what's going on?"

"If you can think of someone who can do better costuming for the same budget, you're more than welcome to suggest someone," Valentine replied with his arms crossed.

"Weeeeeeeelll," Dawn didn't want to see someone else ruining her artistic vision, "I won't work cheap, but I could maybe do a cameo or something."

Valentine leaned in and looked Greg over for a moment, then nodded at last. "You can help, of course. Set designer? Actor? This is a pretty low-budget film. I haven't found the individual who filmed the last movie yet, so royalties are rather... nonexistant."

Rikku waved to her roommate. "We're doing a movie!"

Rikku considered. "Why can't I wear this? It's classy and it's easy to move in."

"Dawn!" Rikku bounced. "Spoooooooooooooon Avenger! You can't quit!"

"Again," Valentine clarified with a nod. "I'm not insane by way of cupcake this time, and I acknowledge that I don't have a trailer, but I can set up some cushions in the corner if you'd like a dressing room and could give you top billing if you'd please come back for the sequel?"
