The Salle, Monday afternoon

"BOO-yah!"

Sokka was decimating targets with his boomerang. An hour of killing things with near-perfect accuracy has mostly restored his confidence in his 1337 warrior skillz. If he saw professor Pajama Man again, he'd... probably not have his boomerang on him. He was definitely going to remember to bring it any time he left campus, but...

Sokka sighed.

He sheathed his boomerang and started trying to remember what he could of his unarmed combat training. Anyone watching might notice that the forms he was moving through looked a lot like Tai Chi.

Katara had been looking for her brother and finally thought to check in the salle. She slipped in quietly as he worked through the unarmed forms, trying not to distract him.

Sokka stopped mid-form, with his hands held out awkwardly, when he saw Katara. If the stance had allowed him to fall over easily, he would have. Luckily, it didn't.

He glared at her for a few moments, and then went back to what he was doing. "You know, Captain Longjohns abducted me Saturday," he said conversationally. "He seemed to think you had threatened him into 'teaching me how to fight'."

"I believed him that you threatened him!" Sokka glared at her. "I'm supposed to be protecting you, not the other way around!!!"

"Well, the radio said he'd killed you!" Katara snapped. "He's lucky I let him have a chance to say he didn't."

"Why would the radio say that?" Sokka scratched his head. "Does the radio say things like that about me often? I haven't really been listening to the radio -- should I start?"

Sokka chuckled. "And he could totally take you, even if you are the best waterbender in the world. He's a better fighter than Zuko and Azula AND all her friends, all put together. Only, you know, without the bending."

"I don't know why it did! It never has before," Katara shrugged. "I don't always listen to it. Sometimes it's just silly."

She made a face. "...Really? Better than Aang even? And I'm totally not the best waterbender in the world." She paused. "Maybe this world. But it's not like there are too many others."

"I still lost," she pointed out. But she was grinning. "Well, if he's really that good than maybe you should train with him? Even if he is crazy? King Bumi's crazy, but really smart too."

A tumbleweed poked its tumbleweedy head into the salle, but when it figured out that the room was used for fighting, it chose to roll on its merry way rather than stick around and get chopped up.
