First Floor Lobby - After 4th Period

After Villains and Villainy class, Layla came downstairs and noticed that the lobby was emptier than it should have been. So, she took the liberty of grabbing the table and the prom tickets, as well as the nomination forms that were left, and setting everything up.

It's possible she went a little crazy with the glitter she could find. It was the last day, after all.

After Adventuring Survival Tactics, Z headed back to her dorm room, saw the table, and realized that since she had the dress, she probably needed a ticket, too. "Hey, Layla, right?"

"Yup, that's me," she said brightly. "Can I interest you in a prom ticket or two? Or three or four if you're a Jack Harkness kind of person?"

"Uh, I just need one," Z said. "It's just me, I'm afraid."

Layla gave her a sympathetic look as she grabbed a ticket. "That's okay, I'm sure it'll still be fun. You can steal everyone else's dates for a dance."

Z laughed. "Ha, yeah right. I'm just looking forward to a chance to wear something other than this uniform for a change."

"Ooh, do you have a pretty dress?"

Z nodded enthusiastically. "It's yellow, and, okay, maybe it's a little bright? But pretty."

"That sounds beautiful. There's nothing wrong with something a little bright," Layla said, handing over the ticket in exchange for Z's money. "I hope you have lots of fun."

"Thanks. I'll see you around," Z said as she took her ticket.

Sokka headed to the lobby to try one last time, still trying to figure out what approach he'd take.

... And then he saw Layla. She was there again. He sighed.

Sokka gave her a sheepish half-smile, waved a little, and then turned around and left.

Layla gave Sokka a sad smile and waved back, making a mental note to put in a good word for him with Evie.

Lana stopped at the table to buy two tickets for the prom.

"Hi!" Layla said, giving her a friendly wave. "Getting tickets for you and a date?"

Lana nodded. "Yeah, Jim and I decided to go last night. I didn't think he'd want to, but he does." She couldn't help the shy smile that spread across her face.

"In my experience, sometimes it's easier to just grab your guy by the arm and say, 'Hey guess what? There's a dance, I'm going to look pretty, and you're going to take me.'"

Lana ducked her head. "Yeah, well there were some extenuating circumstances. Things haven't exactly been... easy lately."

"Well, then a night of good, easy partying sounds like just what you need," Layla replied, happily handing over the tickets.

Wyatt stopped by just after fourth period to pick up a ticket, just in case he decided to go.
