Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Tori had a wonderful time at prom last night, better than she could have imagined. She wished time could move slower though, she didn't want the year to end just yet. Especially when it meant some people would be leaving and she might not see them again.

An early morning person, Tori made her way into the common room kitchen, having decided to make an ample amount of pancakes. That was something she could cook without ruining it. People were probably going to be sleeping for a while but Tori decided to make enought pancakes for the floor and then some, regardless.

She set up orange juice, water, tea, coffee and milk on the table along with syrup and other moddable breakfast condiments. She placed pancakes along with everything as they were made.

"Hey lady." he said. He took a last bite of a pancake. "Do you know my dad?"

"Yes, I know him." she wasn't exactly sure what Dick told his son about her, if anything, so she was just going to play it safe. "My name is Annette."

"I'm Ryan." he said, waving again. And because little kids had no tact he added, "You look like my mom when she's a blonde."

"Ryan, that's a nice-" Annette blinked. "-I what?"

"My mom dyes her hair all the time but when she's blonde she sort of looks like you." he said. "Except her boobs are bigger. But dad paid for those."

Annette would have hit her head to the table had she not been totally vying for sensibility here. She gave Ryan a sweet smile and replied cheekily, "I do not color my hair, nor are my boobs fake. And wait a minute, you checked me out?" Dear god, what was Dick teaching his son?

"Dad says Mom's going to be mostly plastic by the time she's through with her 'spa treatments'" said Ryan, putting his fingers up in quotation marks. His father treated him more like a friend than a son so Ryan was pretty grown up for a nine year old.

"Sorry about that. Force of habit." said Ryan, shrugging. He really needed to learn to not get caught doing that.

Annette? Didn't know whether to be amused or to thwap Dick upside the head. Maybe some of both. Plus? She might feel a little bit sorry for him cause his wife in another universe sounds terrible.

"I don't do it around her." he said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Just when I'm hanging out with my dad or Uncle Logan."

"Oh. Okay." That made sense. Sure it did.

"So, your dad is pretty cool. I've known him for a while now. You look like him." Annette was wondering what the heck to say to a kid who had checked her out.

"That's what everyone says." said Ryan. "They say I act like him too. So I guess that means I'm pretty cool too."

She rested her chin in her hand, elbow on the table, "Really? I think I have just learned more about your dad, Ryan." Which, was a good thing, right?

"Glad I could help." Ryan said. "Dad's awesome. You're a lot cooler than my mom is."

"He is awesome, and thanks! Cause I really like your dad alot, especially when he sleeps ov-" Oops... "Want some juice Ryan? I could pour it for you if you like?"

"Why do you like my dad when he sleeps?" asked Ryan. This chick was nuts.

"He looks cute when he sleeps." Annette said quickly. It was no big deal anyway. Kids weren't smart enough to know certain things and he should go for her anwer just like that.
