Third Floor Common Room, Sunday Morning

Tori had a wonderful time at prom last night, better than she could have imagined. She wished time could move slower though, she didn't want the year to end just yet. Especially when it meant some people would be leaving and she might not see them again.

An early morning person, Tori made her way into the common room kitchen, having decided to make an ample amount of pancakes. That was something she could cook without ruining it. People were probably going to be sleeping for a while but Tori decided to make enought pancakes for the floor and then some, regardless.

She set up orange juice, water, tea, coffee and milk on the table along with syrup and other moddable breakfast condiments. She placed pancakes along with everything as they were made.

"Correction," Alec said, and he exchanged a glance with Jake before nudging the boy. "You wanna turn around for Dean, Jake?"

Jake rolled his eyes, but did as Alec asked.

Dean noticed the barcode almost immediately. "Huh. I wouldn't have thought that was hereditary."

"It's not. He's X5-494, from 2010." Alec gave Dean a Look. "He calls you 'dad'."

Jake rolled his eyes and turned back around. "That's because you are. You and Alec both. He just doesn't like to be called that." He grinned at Dean. "Hi Dad. I'm Jake. I'm your kid from the future."

"Uh, hi." Dean looked from Jake to Alec. "If he's 494, doesn't that make him...?"

Alec nodded. "Yep. And apparently you give me a hard time for not letting him call me dad," he said, looking bemused. "Anyway, so we have got a kid. Did you say you had one already?"

"Yeah." Dean tore his gaze away from Jake -- who really did look exactly like he had at that age -- and nodded towards John William. "John William. He's...uh... apparently mine and Dawn's."

"Dawn's?" Alec repeated, eyes widening in surprise, followed by a smirk. "Maybe she's from wherever my kid with Buffy is."

Dean's head swung around to stare at Alec so quick he was surprised he didn't give himself whiplash. "You have a kid with Buffy?"

"Yeah, that's about how both of us felt," Alec said dryly.

"You and her haven't....?"

Alec rolled his eyes and sighed. "Dude, she sees me like a brother or possibly a large housecat."

"Obviously at least one time in one universe, she's got over that," Dean pointed out.

"Not in this one," Alec said, regretfully. "The girl's name's Tiffany. She went off with Buffy for now."

"Any other little X5 and a halfs running around?" Dean asked, turning back to watch John William eat and Jake charm pancakes out of Tory. Yeah, there was no arguing over whose kid he was either.

"None that I know about," Alec said, shrugging. "Any other Dean-lets?"

"Just the two as far as I know. And unless I completely missed the implication of the barcode and all, one of them is really a mini-you."

"Yeah, he seems to be," Alec said, glancing at Jake where he was getting pancakes. "We rescued him - you and me, we got him out a few years ago, apparently." Alec grinned slightly, still watching Jake. "He got out way early."

"Huh." Dean nudged Alec. "Just like we talked about, remember?"

Alec nodded and leaned into Dean slightly. "Yeah. Nice to know it worked somewhere, at least."

"Yeah," Dean said smiling. "And it's a lot less traumatising way for us to get a kid than if one of us got pregnant."

That got a definite grimace from Alec as he glanced at Dean. "Dude, ew."

"Hey it's Fandom. It could happen. We were girls for a day. So we should just count our blessings here."
