Fourth floor common room, Monday morning

Ami walked Akira to the common room and sat him down on the couch with one of her encyclopedias in Japanese. //"Lets see. We have apples and carrot sticks and tomatoes. You want a rice-ball with those?"// She was not about to offer her kid candy or ice cream for breakfast.

Akira chewed, swallowed smiled and then talked. //"My name is Mizuno Akira. ooops"// He did a cute little facepalm. "I am sorry. My name is Akira Mizuno."

//Pleased to meet you Akira.// Ana said in Japanese. Billy looked pleasantly surprised.

//I'm Tommy.// Tommy introduced himself.

"Well apparently no one's neglecting their education." Billy said.

"Apparently not." Ami smiled. "Who's their Mommy?" She asked, carefully keeping her voice neutral.

"Actually they cleverly fell asleep before telling me that last night." Billy said.

"Our Mommy's Anastasia Cobry." Tommy said, talking with his mouth full. "Ana's named after her an' she's a malgation of lossa people like Joan-"

Ana clapped her hand over her brother's big mouth, and face palmed with the other.

"Sounds slavic, whatever that was." Ami said. "Do you have any idea WHY there are children here? I came home yesterday and he was brought to me. Apparently he was here all day. And then he crashed on my bed." Akira wisely chewed his food and did not talk about who slept where.

"No they were wandering around looking for a place to sleep when they found me in here last night." he said. Then he turned to Ana.

"It's okay to talk around Ami."

"Oh, I didn't know she knew yet." Ana nodded. "But what Tommy said was true, we're clones." Her eyes twinkled. "I told you it was complicated."

Ami marveled at the huge measure of trust shown to her. "Clones? Huh." Was all she said, because really, what can you say?

"The Baroness is your mother?" Billy boggled.

"Yeah Alexander says we're weird cause Mommy's as old as Gramma." Tommy nodded. "Even though Gramma's actually older."

Ana suddenly found her breakfast, very interesting.

Billy had to sit down. "Is yours this confusing?" he ask Ami.

"No... He is clearly my son. And someone else's. Says his father's name is Father."

"That is pretty simple." Billy chuckled. "I don't even know where to start with this story."

"Aunt Zanya says we weren't even made the fun way." Tommy said.

Billy head tabeled.

Ami patted Billy on the shoulder, trying very hard not to laugh.

Ana almost choked on her rice as giggles escaped her.

"I am sure it all will make sense to you when you actually get to that point in your life..." she said to Billy, while giving Ana a stern look.

Ana coughed, and took a deep breath, and was soon the very picture of decorum.

"I wasn't sposed to say that was I?" Tommy said, looking abashed.

Billy ruffled his hair. "Probably not, but Zanya shouldn't have said it where you could hear either."

Akira looked up, and stared at Billy. Continuously. Without blinking.

Akira was spectacularly good at the staring game. He could go for many minutes.

After a while Akira blinked. And smiled. "What is your name?" he asked, staring.
