Dorm Roof, Tueday Night. Post Offpring

Billy sat leaning against one of the buttresses looking out over the island. He was up there ostensibly to meditate, but it turned into a serious brooding session.

He'd known his kids for less than a week, and he was already feeling like he'd lost something precious. Though he suspected he'd get it back someday.

ooc: for Ami especially, but open for all to come be emo or trade stories bout their kids

Ami missed Akira. She needed a good session of being emo on the roof.

Billy turned at the sound of someone coming and saw Ami. "Hey." he said.

"Hey." Ami waved and sat down on the ledge, looking down. "How are you?"

"I miss my kids." he said truthfully. "Isn't that weird? When the adults all turned into little kids I was freaked out. Then all of a sudden here come some of my own and I don't remember the last time I was that happy."

Ami smiled sadly. "Yeah... i know how you feel. Akira has been gone for only a few hours and already i feel like a part of my life is missing."

"That's it exactly." he nodded. He reached out to take her hand. "Akira seemed like a really smart kid."

"He was, wasn't he?" Ami grinned, proudly. She entwined her fingers with his. "I wish i knew who his father was. But i suppose it is better not to know. Can't jinx it that way. Yours were rather erudite."

Billy laughed and squeezed her hand. "Yeah. Hopefully Ana can teach her brother to keep a secret."

"It could happen. Somehow." Ami moved closer and leaned against him if he lets her and sighed.

He totally let her, and wrapped his other arm around her besides. "So at some point, it looks like my wish is gonna come true."

"Yeah? You wished for kids?"

"I wished for a family." he said. "Sounds like I got more than I bargained for, which in this case is a good thing. We live in a lighthouse and everything....also Ana let me keep the giant stuffed Otter I bought her."

Ami grinned. "You are lucky. A giant Otter is the best thing i am sure." she said, smiling the whole time. "You had said before, at the beach that you wanted to live in a lighthouse. Guess you get everything you wished for."

"I don't think it's gonna be easy getting it though." Billy said thoughtfully. "I didn't get the whole story from them, but I think getting the kids was a bit of an ordeal."

"Would you appreciate them as much if it was easy? At least now you know it is coming?"

"Yeah this does give me something to watch for." He gave her a squeeze.

"Yeah... Something to watch for..." Ami sighed.

Billy felt a bit less emo now, with someone else there. He hoped she felt the same.

Ami sort of felt better. And worse at the same time. It was complicated, like most things in her life currently. So she just leaned against Billy and was quiet.
