Third Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

After Hamlet's party, Rikku wandered into the third floor Common Room, fiddling idly with the TV thing and wondering if Hades had been making up those Jeopardy clouds after all.

She quickly got frustrated with the remote, which wasn't working at all, for no discernible reason. "What is wrong with you, anyway?!" she asked it angrily. "And why is nothing ever on? How can you have that many channels and all of them be boring? And where are those stupid Jeopardy clouds?! Was he just teasing?! Why don't I get to play with that fun question thing? Heyyyy ... did it just start??"

"Haven't I noticed him falling for the warrior types?"

Rikku flailed a bit. "Doesn't he know I have a boyfriend?! Isn't he with someone, anyway??"

"Does the girlfriend hit? Do I know? Have I talked to her? Why haven't I talked to her?"

"How should I know? What if he doesn't, and I'm just making things up? Wasn't he with that one girl at not-prom?"

"Is Evie his girlfriend? Was that why he was kissing her? Is it better if she was or wasn't?"

"He was kissing her?! Did he tell you or did you see them? If she's not his girlfriend, then isn't his girlfriend gonna be mad?!"

"Isn't everything your business, if he's your brother? Should you ask Evie?"

"Don't I really, really, really like the way you think? After all, wouldn't he think any boy I was kissing was his business?"

"Is he like my brother? Do you know that I had to tell him there aren't even any boys here? How am I going to explain Jude to him? What am I supposed to tell Dad about that, anyway?!"

"Do you think I could convince him there aren't any boys here? Do you think he would fall for it? Do you know I had to threaten him to keep from threatening Lucas when I was dancing with him? Why do they do that?"

"Is he stupid along with crazy? Is that one of those things I shouldn't say since he's your brother and not mine? Have you talked to Lucas lately? Are they just overprotective or do they think we're stupid?" She made a face. "If I bring Jude back to Spira over break, how am I supposed to explain that to my dad? On the ship? Do you think he'd believe that Jude's just, uh, studying local biology? Am I screwed?"
