Third Floor Common Room, Monday Evening

After Hamlet's party, Rikku wandered into the third floor Common Room, fiddling idly with the TV thing and wondering if Hades had been making up those Jeopardy clouds after all.

She quickly got frustrated with the remote, which wasn't working at all, for no discernible reason. "What is wrong with you, anyway?!" she asked it angrily. "And why is nothing ever on? How can you have that many channels and all of them be boring? And where are those stupid Jeopardy clouds?! Was he just teasing?! Why don't I get to play with that fun question thing? Heyyyy ... did it just start??"

[OOC: Open. Question game is in full effect, please come play! And the remote? The batteries are dead, she just doesn't know to check that.]

"Blushing makes you turn purple?" He stared for a minute, then shook his head. "Jude is your boyfriend? If I'd met him, wouldn't I know that? Do you think it's silly? Would it make Jude feel better? Would it help if you told him I had three significant others? Does it count as bad if everyone who talks about me had a really good time?" He waggled his eyebrows at her. "How about the Perk, sometime during the week? It could be a break from finals?"

Jack started laughing. "You fixed it! We can make statements again! And to answer your questions--" He ticked them off on his fingers as he went. "Yup, I figured you were new, no, you don't sound bad at the dating thing, of course they all now about each other, I do think of myself as an expert," he grinned, "and I try not to fly in the face of public opinion. I do, you don't, and you're welcome."

After several deep breaths, he shook his head. "That was very strange."

Jack was staring, smile getting wider. "Wow, you weren't kidding. It wasn't just the question thing," he said. "It's still adorable. And it's okay. I get that. I am always like this, pretty much, but this is a purely friendly coffee I'm inviting you on. You have my word."

He did his best to look honest and trustworthy, which, yeah, might have not worked all that well around the grin. "As for who I'm dating, you might know some of them. Sam Carter, Cedric Diggory, and River Tam? And it's one at a time only," he added quickly. "Not a group thing."

"I hope you won't explode!" Jack was trying very hard not to laugh, but it was pretty amusing. "It's an unusual situation. It takes everyone by surprise, even very experienced daters. Tell you what, do you know Dawn?" She'd be the perfect person to invite along.

"We are, and nope, it's not," Jack laughed. "And yeah, that sounds like her. How about if I invite her along on our not-even-close-to-a-date?"

"I can do that." Since Jack actually suspected there'd be a similar reaction to coffee from Dawn, this promised to be very entertaining. "I'll check with Dawn and get back to you with time and day specifics?"

Laughing, Jack stretched to his feet. "It was truly a pleasure to meet you, Rikku, especially without the stuff messing and threats of violence. The questions were actually a lot of fun. And now I should go and make sure Sam's eaten today."

"Don't worry about it, and sometimes, if she gets caught up in something," he replied. "See you later." Jack headed out he door with a cheery wave, then popped his head back around the door. "No forgetting," he admonished, then disappeared again.
