Miley was perched on the couch watching TV and trying not to look guilty. She didn't want to hurt Liz, but she was hoping that the students just wouldn't care. After all, the whole thing with Alex had blown over without too much fuss.

Looking around, Miley made a mental checklist. Snack food to encourage people to stop and chat. Discovery Channel special on worst fire disasters playing on TV. Notebook with ideas of how to get back at Steerpike for his blackmail.

Yup, she was ready to do this thing.

"I hear that set fire to the principal's tower or something." Miley said, trying to sound like she was spreading a juicy bit of gossip. "Dangerous, right?"

"Oh, I don't know, some boy." Miley flailed. "But that's creepy, right? I certainly don't want some pyro running around the school."
