The Salle; Saturday Morning.

After doing her morning forms and finding herself a modest breakfast, Setsuna went to locate her bokken, having remembered that it was kept not in her room but in the salle. And, once she was down there, of course, she had to practise. There was so much space, and it was nice and quiet and perfect for a good session.

"Hyah! Hyah! Hyah!" little Setsuna swung her bokken as her as she could and tumbled around and fought all sorts of invisible enemies that were nothing when faced with her mighty blade! She was going to be the best warrior in the world one day!

'Practice makes perfect' was one of his sensei's favorite mantras. Kabuto took the saying to heart, and today was no different than any other. He made his way to the salle, spending a few moments watching Setsuna before waving at her and then going over to work on throwing things.

Setsuna met Kabuto's wave with a nod, and continued in her training. For a moment, she was annoyed that there was a distraction, but, that moment soon passed when she realized that the added distraction would work well to practise her focus.

Kabuto threw a wooden kunai at her.

Just 'cause.

Setsuna noticed the shift in the flow of air in the room as ones of Kabuto's weapons didn't go the same way the others were, and she whipped around with her bokken ready and, with a firm "Hyah!" cut the missile down.

Once it was on the floor of the salle, Setsuna frowned at it before snapping her eyes toward Kabuto, waiting for an explaination for such blatant disregard for bushido.

Kabuto laughed, clapping his hands. "Good job! How'd you know it was coming?" He looked up at her with wide eyed innocence; before his Sound village headband slipped down over his eyes and he had to push it up again.

Setsuna bowed deeply in appriciation for the praise. As she straightened, she tucked her sword at her side as though sheathing it. "Shift in the flow of awareness," she responded. "Must be aware of all surroundings, and any change is important."

Her hand went to her mouth, though, to hold back a giggle over the slipping headband.

The headband just wouldn't stay up. The weetiny ninja finally gave up, pushing it down to wear around his neck instead. "Was it chakra?" he asked curiously.

Setsuna shook her head, and smiled a little. "No. Just awareness. Awareness," her eyes closed as she bowed her head sagely, "is everything."

"Sensei says chakra is the base of everything," Kabuto disagreed. "An' he says I'm good. I'm already training and with the big kids 'cause I'm good. I'm not a baby like the little kids." Nevermind that he couldn't be much older than four.

"I'm the youngest one in my unit, too!" Setsuna said, half in excitement at the common ground, half in attempt to show Kabuto that she was just as good a warrior, if not better, than he was.

"But you're old," Kabuto replied, smirking.

"I'm only five!" Setsuna told him, holding out her hand with the fingers all spread. "An' the next oldest in my unit is at least six and three quarters."
