Dorm Lobby, Friday Morning

The red-eye flight into Virginia had been boring. Especially since it had involved crossing dimensional barriers. Talk about jet-lag!

The Mikado Group minion who had been his cabbie and chaperone had gone ahead with most of his stuff, leaving Kou with just his duffel bag to take up to his new room. The rubble that should have been a school was a little disconcerting, but Kou tried not to take it as a Bad Sign.

Instead, he headed into the dorms and found an out of the way spot to look at the paperwork he'd gotten at check-in, trying to figure out where he was supposed to go. It said something about having a room, and also cabins.

.....Wait, cabins?

(open! wanna help a new student find his room?)

Evie was taking being a Big Sister very seriously. She remembered how much easier it was for her last year, knowing Blair was looking out for her. So she did what he did: made a big sign with KOU LEIFOU written on it in shiny colors, and headed down to the check-in for new students.

She smiled at one of the new boys, and hopefully asked, "Are you lost? I can give you directions if you are!"

"Oh, I'm *so* sorry. I should have checked the list before I left the room," Evie said, dismayed. "And it's for you because I'm your Big Sister! Well, Fandom Big Sister, to help you settle in and answer your questions and yay! Hello! I'm Evie." She took a step backward out of the personal space, already flustered about her mistake.

"Crazy?" Evie smiled, bouncing up on her toes. "And are you a sophomore, or a junior? Or going to be. And do you have any questions right off? I know mine were along the lines of co-educational dorms, and was that allowed, but then, I'm from ninety years in the past, you understand."

"Oh, of course! Where did they put you? And... teenager again?" She paused, blinking at him. "You're actually an adult?"

"Goodness, that's amazing." Evie turned to the stairs, and waved to him to follow her. "230 is easy. I'm up on Fifth in 512, and I'll be in Chimera Cabin by this evening. So you shouldn't find it difficult ot locate me. We all became first-formers about two weeks ago, but how did you become -- fifteen? Sixteen? Again?"

"Oh, that's terrible," Evie said, stopping suddenly on the stairs and turning around. "I'm so sorry! I'm sixteen too, but sine you're really not, I hope you don't mind having a Big Sister who's younger than you are? And are you okay? Do you need to rest?"

Evie's eyes got huge, then narrowed as she smacked his hand. "No! Oh, really, must every boy who enrolls here think he's Prince Charming?" She took two steps up and back so she could look him in the eye. "I am dating someone, Kou. And I don't do that sort of thing with boys I just met. Men. Boys. Well, whichever you are."

"Yes, well, I'll keep that in mind," Evie said, flustered, then took a breath. "Right! Your room! Then the cabins. Right this way."

This was going to be ... interesting.
