Cthulhu Campfire, Tuesday Afternoon (After Workshops)

Sam wasn't used to not having classes every day, and not having to worry about his workshops until tomorrow was making him feel weird. So, he went out by the campfire to get some fresh air and read one of the books he'd gotten for his birthday.

After the first blowing things up class, Dean headed back to the cabins and wandered over to Cthulhu to check on Sammy since they hadn't talked beyond a few minutes on Saturday.

He spotted his brother outside by the campfire and flopped down beside him.

"Hey Sammy. Whatcha reading?"

Dawn stretched out face down on the ground near Sam reading a book of her own, and worrying a little that she hadn't heard from Buffy in a while.

Molly was wandering by and decided to stop. "Hey, Sam. How you doing?"

Molly plopped down on the ground next to Dawn. "We need more classes together," she said by way of greeting.

Sam held the book up so Dean could see the cover. "It's one of the books Tori got for me," he said.

"Tell me about it," Dawn said, closing the book, "I had to talk to new people. It was very strange."

Sam watched Dawn idly, letting his mind wander happily into dirty territory for few minutes before snapping back to reality. "Hey," he said, giving her a light nudge. "You okay?"

"Cool," Dean said looking closer at the cover. "Might have to borrow that one when you finish."

"Hey Molly," he said, grinning at her. "I'm pretty good, if kind of bored out of my mind. How are you? Have you started workshops yet?"

Dean looked over at Dawn. "Book not good?" he asked at her worried frown.

"It's just that time of year, and Buffy hasn't written in a while," Dawn answered, trying not to be too Buffy about this, "I'm probably being silly, but..."

She sighed, "No, the book's fine. Just worried Buffy's saving the world and didn't tell me about it before she went."

"I saw Buffy at the picnic on Saturday..." Dean began then slowed to a stop. "Oh, you mean your Buffy... Right. I knew that."

Molly laughed. "The new kids I've talked to don't seem that bad. A lot more that aren't from Earth though."

"Seriously?" Sam asked. "You want to borrow a book from me? That you're not being forced to read because of a class?"

"Dude, I read!"

"Hey, you have every right to be worried, especially if Buffy makes an annual thing out of being in more danger than usual," Sam said. "But I'm sure she's fine. She's strong and capable and...you know, Buffy."

"I'm good! I had my first two workshops today," Molly said. "Blowing Things Up and Advanced Beginner's Guide to Carrots and a bunch of other stuff."

"Okay, if you say so," Sam replied, still smirking. "So, how have your workshops been so far?"

"Dean's in Blowing Things Up too," Sam said, laughing. "He's way, way too excited about it. I kind of fear what he might learn."

"I've met a couple in my cabin, but have been kind of antisocial," she admitted. "Think maybe they advertised in an intergalactic flyer or something?"

"That's what I'm worried about," she grumbled. "May's really not a good month for her."

She grinned, "Yeah. This is when it gets confusing. I think the other Buffy is going away for part of the summer."

"Pretty good. I got made TA for Treasure Hunting yesterday," Dean offered.

"She did last summer," Dean pointed out. He grinned suddenly. "Sammy and I just got our family to move to Fandom. Makes it easier." He looked at Dawn. "Not that I want you to go anywhere -- and not just because Sammy would mope -- but you could always see about going home for a little bit to check on your sister."
