Cthulhu Campfire, Tuesday Afternoon (After Workshops)

Sam wasn't used to not having classes every day, and not having to worry about his workshops until tomorrow was making him feel weird. So, he went out by the campfire to get some fresh air and read one of the books he'd gotten for his birthday.

After the first blowing things up class, Dean headed back to the cabins and wandered over to Cthulhu to check on Sammy since they hadn't talked beyond a few minutes on Saturday.

He spotted his brother outside by the campfire and flopped down beside him.

"Hey Sammy. Whatcha reading?"

Sam held the book up so Dean could see the cover. "It's one of the books Tori got for me," he said.

"Cool," Dean said looking closer at the cover. "Might have to borrow that one when you finish."

"Seriously?" Sam asked. "You want to borrow a book from me? That you're not being forced to read because of a class?"

Dawn stretched out face down on the ground near Sam reading a book of her own, and worrying a little that she hadn't heard from Buffy in a while.

Molly plopped down on the ground next to Dawn. "We need more classes together," she said by way of greeting.

"Tell me about it," Dawn said, closing the book, "I had to talk to new people. It was very strange."

Molly laughed. "The new kids I've talked to don't seem that bad. A lot more that aren't from Earth though."

Sam watched Dawn idly, letting his mind wander happily into dirty territory for few minutes before snapping back to reality. "Hey," he said, giving her a light nudge. "You okay?"

"It's just that time of year, and Buffy hasn't written in a while," Dawn answered, trying not to be too Buffy about this, "I'm probably being silly, but..."

"Hey, you have every right to be worried, especially if Buffy makes an annual thing out of being in more danger than usual," Sam said. "But I'm sure she's fine. She's strong and capable and...you know, Buffy."

Dean looked over at Dawn. "Book not good?" he asked at her worried frown.

She sighed, "No, the book's fine. Just worried Buffy's saving the world and didn't tell me about it before she went."

Isabel was out and about looking for people she hadn't seen in a bit. "Hey stranger," she said, taking a seat on the grass next to Dawn. "You found a book that isn't a chicken? My Angelica Desmesnes novels are nesting on my bed."

"Hey, you." Dawn smiled at her, "and wait, go back to the chicken part."

"Hello, what're you reading?"

Dawn blinked. Talking frog. "Um...futuristic mystery."

Molly was wandering by and decided to stop. "Hey, Sam. How you doing?"

"Hey Molly," he said, grinning at her. "I'm pretty good, if kind of bored out of my mind. How are you? Have you started workshops yet?"

"I'm good! I had my first two workshops today," Molly said. "Blowing Things Up and Advanced Beginner's Guide to Carrots and a bunch of other stuff."

"No one knows where we're going, no one knows where we've been, dangers fall on us, strangers follow us, life plays tricks and they're mean..." Robin was singing as he walked. He did that a lot.

"Hi!" he waved to everyone and diverted to the fire circle to try to make new friends.

Sam had been in Fandom long enough that the sight of a talking frog only threw him for a few moments, but he couldn't fight the urge to stare a little. "Um. Hi," he said, waving in return.

Robin didn't mind the staring, he was used to it. Many Muppets were secretly amused by the reaction they got. Robin was one of them.

"I'm Robin, what's your name?"

Dean blinked at the frog. "You any relation to the turtles?"

"Nope. I'm a frog. I'm Robin, pleased to meet you." He hopped up on a stump and stuck out a flipper.
